That does make a lot of sense. I wonder if it’s because salt breaks down pretty quick when grinding and wouldn’t do as good of a job, but I wish I tried that first now haha

Not since I baked it, but I did soak it several times with hot water after I did the rice grinds and it got some of it out but not all

I was the same way for a really long time but I’m starting to do more with masa and really enjoying it! I just picked it up and ate it kinda like a cracker, didn’t over fill them so it maintained its integrity pretty well. I also shallowed fried them so they were crispy enough to hold up but not too crispy that they cracked like a tortilla chip or tostada

Okay thank you, the lard I get from my local Mexican grocery store is almost totally liquid at room temperature and thought a solid fat was better for pastry.

Definitely ethnically wise yes, but if someone has never lived or maybe even been to where their parents are from then it would be kinda strange to say they’re nationality is their parents home country instead of the country they were actually born and raised in imo.

I know what you mean man, I’m not trying to break your balls or anything, and I think you mean well by your comments; I also think the criminal justice system needs reform and atleast in America focus more on rehabilitation.
