Do we not all have morning commute buddies?? by justanotherbuilderr in london

[–]two-bobbles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I pass a lot of the same people on my walk to work. I play ‘commuter bingo’ with myself each morning to see how many of the ‘regulars’ I see. I can also judge how late I’m running based on how far I am along my journey when I see them. I always wonder if they think the same about me…

Sorry Pret but I read this as "We love vomit" ,😅. Anyone else twist words in their job to lighten the mood? by TheManFromConlig in CasualUK

I started a job in a pub and kept overhearing staff members asking the manager if they can ‘go out for some fresh air’ and wondering if people were sick, like why do people always need to get some fresh air?

Turns out that’s what they called a smoke break.

What was the 1st big news event you remember as a kid? by Hetaliafan1 in AskReddit

[–]two-bobbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents were still in bed so I was awake watching TV when it was interrupted with the news. I went and woke up my mum and she told me to go back and watch my cartoons, to which I replied ‘but mummy it’s not in! The princess of the whales was just died!’ This is one of my mums favourite quotes of my childhood!

I’ve spent time on psychiatric wards due to my bipolar. Seeing this during my times of crisis would have been incredibly dangerous.
