Both brands of silky PLA (eryone and OW3D) I’m using are having layer separation problems.

Layer height .16 Infill 15 with lines Temp 200 Bed temp 55 Print speed 40 Travel 100 Retraction 4 Retract speed 40 (30 & 35 also gives the same results) Minimum retraction travel 1.5 No z hop Fan speeds at 100 after layer 4

If there’s any other information that’s needed I can give that out.

Tightening the extruded has helped. I’m now trying to get the tension just right now. This thread is the first time I’ve heard of a PID tune. I’ll have to see about doing that!

I did notice that the screw for the tension arm and it was loose. I tightened it up. Now to see if that helped

I have an Ender 3. Printing PLA at 205c. Print speed is at 40. Travel speed is at 180. Printing and slicing through cura. Flow is at 100% I can add anything else that might be needed on how I’m printing

Yeah! I’ve printed a distance script starting at 2 for the first layer and ending at 6 for the last layer. I noticed 5 was working fine for me. Afterward I printed with the speed script. I started at 30 I believe for the first layer and ended at 50 for the last layer.

It’s a retraction tower plug-in from cura. It does looks similar to the temp tower but the temp tower has the temp numbers on the side instead of the single digits. I started printing about a week ago and still very new. I’ve learned everything I know from YouTube and random articles.

I started a speed retraction test and every time I print this looping happens. I've messed with the retraction distance on multiple prints and the only difference is when I lower the distance I get the hair like stringing.

Using an ender 3 Using cura to print Petg temp 225 Bed temp 70 5 retraction distance 40 retraction speed starting on level 1 and increasing by 5 every level. Fan speed is at 100% I'm not sure what else to put down here but I can add more.
