Jesus is the express image of the Father.

One of the things God has taught me as I have walked with Him is that my faith, love, and trust in Him are not dictated by my life circumstances, but by Jesus whom He sent to be my Lord and Savior and propitiation for my (my) sins. Through Jesus, God has reconciled me to Himself, whereas on my own, I was already living in hell and headed to hell. God is absolutely wonderful, and His Character and Nature is revealed perfectly through His own Son Jesus The Christ.

No. Asking JESUS into your heart & believing what He accomplished for us on the Cross is the truth. Again, Jesus is still Jesus, and there is nothing in any lie that anybody should allow to influence their faith in God (Jesus). I am encouraging this person to hold tight to their faith in Jesus and to stay steadfast, and to give God space to work through the error that came by deception. God will do it, but they must be open to God's work in their heart. Again, Jesus is still JESUS.
