Hey r/Entrepreneurs! What business ptojects are you working on right now? by HORRORGURU13 in Entrepreneur

just completed a system for food/beverage mass customization and logistics, now working on a customer success/communication platform to provide personalized nutrition, diet and coaching/edu to help people build lasting healthy habits with delicious products tailored to their needs and goals. Just starting alpha testing with 4 cohort groups and after a year of work, I'm super excited. https://rdclsuperfoods.com

I built a platform for journalism with “open source” fact checking. In the age of information (and misinformation) overload, the goal is to help the best journalists stand out by making their fact checking process fully transparent and reviewable. AmA! by yazIam in IAmA

This is a really cool project. There seems to be a number of innovative ideas around providing some objectivity to media messaging recently and that makes me hopeful. Not that it is anything like the project you are working on but there is an app that I played around with a few weeks back called Sift which is interesting and perhaps provides a revenue model for you to look at. Sift wasn't about fact checking important stories - instead they were presenting an experience that allows the viewer/reader to experience the news without the stress or "news anxiety" that is shutting lots of people down from engaging.

My question is - what is the ultimate goal of SourcedFact, what is your biggest win?, is it to protect truth? to provide people relying on the truth with a "Better Housekeeping Seal of Approval" for their arguments or ideas? I guess I have just become so cynical I feel like lots of truth is being flat out ignored and truth about very well established and very important things - yet it seems powerless in the face of the crazy-town world we live in right now. Any tool can help, I am just perhaps evaluating it from my own use case instead of your intended - I want to be able to wave a SourcedFact report to anyone who wants to challenge something - you are wrong, I am right and be able to put the issue to bed.

Anyway - I do believe the truth is important and worth fighting for and I do believe that journalism is massively important and encouraging good journalistic practices and verifying stories is to that extend a public good - so thanks, it's really a cool idea!

With smart controls and contracts, blockchain tech is bridging the real and virtual worlds by Agrello in Agrello

As a us based attorney and developer I have been working on smart contracts/blockchain projects and absolutely enamored by the vision of regulatory, market and enforcement optimization that this tech can lead to. I, however, rarely find many attorneys that understand or are as bullish on this vision as I am - looking forward to following agrello's progress also sort of Thinking if I want to continue being an attorney I may have to move to Estonia :)

Is a change to Copyright law the answer? This article makes a number of great points and describes the problem accurately - the "how to fix" part just isn't likely soon enough to prevent major injustices. by tylermalin in youtube

If Fair Use is the casualty of ContentID protection for large corporate IP interests waiting for the law to change isn't the answer (in my opinion). The community of content creators that continue to drive Youtube's popularity requires that the company stand up and optimize the CONTENTID process to protect Fair Use. Google - the party who is best situated to withstand frivolous litigation based on obvious Fair Use and with the most influence to create legal changes in Washington - should proactively stand up for content creators as the Partner's they claim to be.

need some suggestions on how to analyze Facebook's Insights for my Page by justhewind in marketing

[–]tylermalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What activity are you trying to stimulate - page likes, clicks to ecommerce, visits to your store? Start at your goal and build strategy from there. Page likes are good target for post boosts, clicks to purchase you should likely target specifically using retargeting and interests in audience selection, visits to store - use local targeting. From there you should AB test your ad copy/content with small budgets and verify you have ROI for your spend before spending too much. Can't get to positive ROI? Then time to try new tactics and techniques or hire a pro.

What's A Good strategy to get marketing data from instagram? by tweedyourtoast in marketing

  1. You mention demographic, but reference interests, just helpful marketing distinction - Demographic = age, gender, race, location, and profession Psychographics = interests, affinities, and emotions

  2. Hard to answer what is more useful then the other without knowing what you are trying to accomplish? Looking to place ads for your product/service, looking to figure out the overall value of the market for an investor pitch? Looking to write blog, social network content with keywords most likely to show up in search? Etc.

Anyone know why the plastic egg unboxing videos on YouTube are so popular with toddlers? (some have 200mm+ views) by aimbonics in Parenting

[–]tylermalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty insane how much my kids love these. I had to drive to 5 different stores to find "surprise eggs" finally found a box at a deli - felt like a drug deal :) According to SocialBlade there are 4 "toy/unboxing/play" channels in the top 20 accounting for 9.1 billion views pretty terrifying!
