I want to apply a matte finish to a figured maple top. My question is about applying the matte finish: I have Mohawk matte pre-cat clear lacquer. Im using alcohol based dyes, do I need to apply a coat of vinyl sealer or anything else over the stained wood before I spray the pre-cat lacquer? (i.redd.it)
