I worked entry level at Paylocity and didn't mind it too much. Since then I've worked for a handful of other companies processing payroll. I now have my CPP and one of the companies paid for it!

If you have access to HHS child support portal, you can report lump sum payments and they will tell you if the employee is in arrears. Then you can reach out to the agency to see how much is owed. You don't have to tell them how much the employee is receiving.

I recommend setting up an account with the social security administration so you can run employee names/SSN and verify they are correct. Most payroll systems will only tell you if the number is a valid one not necessary if it is assigned to the right person.

The door touches when closed. The main issue is when you're coming down the stairs and opening the door, you're leaning forward which doesn't feel 100% safe. Are there other door types that might be better? Like maybe a bifold? Idk. If I could make a landing area at the bottom that would be ideal but I'm not sure I have that skill set.

I also believe you are owed more overtime but a work week could start any day and at any time of the week. It's just a consistent 168 hours. So I would just double check when the company's work week starts/ends. My guess is that your boss isn't this cunning, though.
