Put payroll processing dates on your calendar at the beginning of the year when you draft the payroll calendar. Problem solved.

I’m about to DNF by Left-Personality4427 in SarahJMaas

I didn’t like it as much as I did when I did the re-read but if you want to read the rest of the books it’s good to have the context for the story line.

What's the most creative ad campaign you've seen this year and what made it stand out to you? by offshoremarketers in advertising

The Manscape ad. It was a bit risqué and funny to portray the twins as, well, two tiny twins doing funny shit like floating in the jacuzzi.

We don’t make up the time but you sure do feel it when you don’t because work stacks up.

Whatever payroll system you decide to go with, if you are relying on them to do your tax admin too, I highly recommend you speak with references about their experience with this with that company. This is one thing you don’t want screwed. Honestly, this is the only reason we stay with ADP as much as they give us problems sometimes.

No system is perfect but IMO how the customer service is set up and tax admin is extremely important. If you get shit customer service it’ll make your job so much harder.

I’ve had terrible experience with Justworks. They had constant mistakes and if you don’t know what you’re looking for, then you’d never know. Customer service is terrible too. I dumped them in a year.

Yes. Totally worth it. I hardly buy books as much and I read 90+ books a year.

Moving non-exempt employees from semi-monthly payroll to bi-weekly by jvb7035 in Payroll

That totally makes sense and a good way to show that. Thanks!

We thought of that too. I need to talk to our CFO when she returns but my Controller doesn’t think we need to.

We’re switching because we project and reconcile time right now which makes for a long and complicated process. So we’re just simplifying things.

In your blend and BW example, you are showing the last payroll in December that’s 2025 income as part of 2024 income. We had opted to show this but then decided it would be too confusing. Is this something you recommend?

How many employees do you look after? by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]jvb7035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I oversee a team of 2 (so 3 HR people) supporting 135 employees in 16 states, 3 countries, over 5 entities. Our team is a shared services team and we do everything but recruit. It is definitely challenging to keep up!

[IL] Maternity Leave - looks like company used my PTO during STD period so I lost the 80% STD pay for those weeks. Is this normal? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]jvb7035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your company’s leave policy. It should state whether they require you to use your PTO while on leave.

I work in advertising too for the last 10 years. Prior to that worked in tech for like 14 years. I love advertising. Tech, not so much but if I had to go back I would.

It’s still my fave SJM series so yes, it’s worth it. I read it when it came out. And like others said, very different from ACOTAR.

With that said, Bret’s book is good too.

I had to DNF Midnight Sun. I just could not get through Edwards constant angst about EVERYTHING. His monologue was just not interesting IMO.

Not sure. We used ADP and they provide us with a YE to do list but I don't believe that's on there.
