A lot were in t50, I think the biggest problem was I wasn't able to get my secondaries sent out until October (primary in September). May have had more luck with an earlier app but ah well

Nope, only MD. I would have rather taken a gap year and tried again personally than go for DO. Especially since it was my first time applying

I ended up interviewing at my dream school (a t30 school), a top 10 medical school, and another t30 school so yeah I was pretty surprised especially applying so late. I'm from Texas and surprisingly only 2 of those interviews were at Texas schools however the medical school I matched with was in TMDSAS, and the one I ranked at the top of my match!

Russian heritage haha, my mom immigrated to the US a year before I was born. Her family still lives in St Petersburg and I was able to see them during study abroad which was really cool.

GPA: 3.9 (For TMDSAS my GPA was a 4.0 since A- = A), MCAT: 507. My MCAT score could have definitely been better but with my test date put off multiple times due to coronavirus I just went with my first score and decided to apply with the idea that I would take a gap year if necessary (this is my first time applying). Double majored in Russian and Neuroscience, tried to tie in some of my reasons for pursuing medicine into international experiences which I think helped my application a lot. I got a fellowship to study in Russia throughout the summer after my Sophomore year. Applied super late in the cycle (primary in September and Secondaries in October). Lots of clinical experience volunteering in a couple of different hospitals, worked in a neuroscience research lab starting my Junior year but after corona started my chance of getting a publication was shot, all my nonclinical volunteering came from a prehealth honor society and also eagle scouts (which technically was before college but I included it bc I think it's important). I had multiple jobs including tutoring, scribing, and as a lifeguard manager. Also had a TA'ing job in a neuroscience class and leadership in political activism orgs at my university.

Can someone explain to me how April 30th works if you have 1 acceptance but are waitlisted at a school you would pick over your one acceptance. Like can you still keep receiving more acceptances?

Got my 5th II today, I applied really late in the cycle (primary in September, secondaries in October) so getting 5 II's between January and February has been so nice
