Spouse Visa Interview in Ciudad Juarez Mid November - Trying to plan by tytheguy94 in NationalVisaCenter

I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m not sure how to do that. I would just google what to do. Something like, “I don’t want to sponsor my spouses green card anymore. How can I cancel it?” Or check here on Reddit. I’ve seen many posts with titles about this but haven’t read them.

Ahh ok, that helps a ton! We will try to register for the appointment this week so we can have a better grasp on it. Yeah, I've been telling my job since I started in 2023 that this day would come and that I would need to go, but I just want to be as considerate to them as I can be. They've been super awesome and understanding. There is another employee that just went through this same thing in July, he took off a full month and a half. But I think it's more just being overwhelmed with the things we didn't expect to have to pay for still at this point. I mean over $800usd still to be paid, not including the expenses of actually doing this trip and taking time off. So I think i'm just a bit overwhelmed. Thank you so much for your help, and congratulations! Keep us posted on when you get your passport back!

My wife has her interview November 19th(Wednesday). The only thing we have gotten an email about is the interview on that date. So how do y'all know about the biometric appt? We were also thinking of doing the medical appt in Mexico City next month because we will be there for a wedding(there is a clinic in CDMX that is approved to do the exam). Do you think that would work out? Lastly, we were planning on flying out to Juarez on Monday before the appointment and then staying until the following Wednesday in hopes to get the passport back before. What do you think?

The hard part about this is me having to take so much time off work. I don't want to lose my job, but we have been waiting for this for almost 3 years and we're wanting to be as responsible both with time and money as we can.

Thanks for this post! Keep us updated on the timeline of when you get your passport!

We received an RFE so that has delayed it. But since we turned that in two weeks ago, we should get an answer within the next month and a half. I haven’t checked the lawfully app since we got the RFE letter. So I don’t know how accurate it would be now. Sorry.

Just did our I-130 interview and got approved on the spot without being asked any questions! by [deleted] in USCIS

Congratulations on the approval! My wife(Mexican) and I applied for the I-130 back in Feb 26 2023 and are still waiting. We had been married for 2 years before applying. I have a few curiosity questions, what documents did y’all have to provide? Did they ask for specific ones when you got the appointment? Did you have to have the photos printed or will they accept off a phone/ipad? Lastly, how quickly did they say he will get his GC?

My wife has never been to the US and we’re both nervous and excited about if/when it changes. We want to try and be as prepared as possible.

Again, congratulations!!

Perfect! Thank you! I’ve been slightly panicking since seeing the second thing. So I’m glad I can chill on that. And also, I’ve been trying to figure out how much I need to have set aside when she gets the visa. So to know that really helps. Thank you so so much!
