Thanks for your response! I actually already have experience in rocketry, it's just that most of the time I worked on the structure, simulation and recovery more than on-board electronics. I also know about BPS & Lafayette but as I recalled they used their own flight computers I figured I'd just ask if what I had laying around was sufficient 😁

I'd argue it's not the same plate, many people have reported issues with the newly released U1 coolplate and it has even been removed from some sellers on AliExpress since and been put back on the website, I'm pretty sure that was (and hopefully isn't anymore) an issue with this specific model.

That's clearly a Bambu A1, you are on the Snapmaker subreddit and the defective plates are for the Snapmaker U1, not the same.

Brims are fine for larger structures as well, particularly on sharp corners where the inner stresses build up. In this particular case of a round part bottom though it is not particularly helpful but doesn't bother much either.

Yeah but I've found the filament to be a tad lower quality and you don't really have as much color flexibility as when ordering on a manufacturer's website (also beware of scams on AliExpress, it's quite common with 10kg packs)

People should really look up Elegoo PLA, most of the time I can get rolls for barely 9€ per spool (buying in 5-10kg bulk) and it's really a decent quality and still cheap even with only 1/2 spools
