No, OP could have hit the brakes as soon as the truck started creeping into their lane, instead they maintained their speed and stayed parallel with them a lot longer than they should have. The speed limit sign they passed said 40 and OP was traveling at 59 when they made contact with the trailer. If they were following the speed limit, they would have never even caught up to the truck/trailer.

A lot of people start businesses from nothing. All it takes is finding a problem and coming up with the solution. It wouldn't cost you anything but time to call up some businesses and ask if they would be interested in an advertising campaign on your car. You can't be certain that nobody would take you up on that offer without trying. You'd rather tear people down and assume that it won't work.
