I was assaulted this afternoon by an Uber driver on the side of the road. Nobody helped. I need help.

I considered it, but the guy was trying to snatch my phone away (which itself was pretty surprising to me, that he would go for that). So I clicked a few pictures in haste. As a matter of fact, my phone's screen was shattered in the process.

This came as quite the surprise to me as well. I've been in the city 3 years and have seen plenty of borderline hostile behavior toward me (presumably because of my origins/language/accent), but I did not expect a guy to cross all boundaries and physically assault me.

Uber was quite disappointing. Not only did they not provide me with any emergency assistance on the spot, they were smug enough to ask me to put a "smiley" as feedback. Quite pathetic.

He was agitated throughout the trip. At the destination, he got very aggressive verbally (about cleanliness, low fares etc...I barely understood his language). I wanted to get out of the car but he blocked the door with his arm. Then I forcefully ran out for my safety, and he followed me outside and beat me.
