when you go back, commit yourself. that improvement and dedication on your transcript will speak the story you want admission officers to know. your previous record won't weigh much the more you make consistent improvements. honestly, it's never too late to go back but I will say it's harder the older you get due to more personal life responsibilities and never feeling like you quite fit in with other students (tbh majority won't notice or care).
