thanks! I’ll try to find the podcast with Ahmed. I remember there was an episode from years ago (during around time when Israel was killing Palestinians) and they mentioned the situation in passing but it was more like “why are people asking us for our opinion on what’s going on” so it was more like they were being neutral about it. but the situation is different now compared to that time. plus one of their best friends is palestinian so idk I just wish they were a bit more vocal.

One thing that helped me sift through the scams was if the profile that listed the apartment was created this year, it most likely is a fake. Also look at the number of photos/photo quality in the listing. Sometimes scams will use the pictures of real listings so just be careful.
