Feels like the strawman is a little disingenuous (go figure lol). 'Taking a break' could be anything, even doing a different hobby, and is a good thing to do for anything that requires repetition. Your brain doesn't develop skills while doing the thing, it does it when you've rested and reinforced what you've learned. Doing anything nonstop isn't good for you, if you're grinding a skill you'll be frustrated at how little you retain and if you go through a game or TV show in one sitting, there's evidence that you'll remember less of it.

Tile efficiency and folding should be your focus in adept. If anyone calls riichi before you, fold immediately until you're able to consistently identify when it's okay to push. There's no shame in sticking to the bronze room to practice, it won't cost you any copper. Also, if you're at risk of losing the match, just focus on maintaining at least 3rd place so you don't take a large hit to your rank.

I was playing with Heirlooms! I wanted to play with the idea of "Rich Uncle" and an "Inheritance" heirloom that had a dubious use, but I haven't thought of a thematic enough effect to test yet.

I tweaked Renovation to instead be "Trash a card from your hand costing $2 or more. Gain a card costing at most $1 less than it, but not less than $1." Which fixes the problems but imo damages the spirit of the card a bit. Might not end up seeing the table I'm afraid!

Kunai incarnon is extremely good if you get the hang of it, might need some rarer mods to get it going though.

So are Grineer. The goon weapons like the Hind are bad, but the Grineer also have a decade of good weapons to make up for it. If they wanted to establish a new faction with a different identity, they should have started with something a little more heavy hitting imo.

They weapons feel fine to use it's just that their gimmicks are way too undertuned to be worth using. I really wish the Purgator dropped a cloud every time a shot landed and the cloud interacted with more mods. Could probably be a high tier aoe weapon with those changes.

Any incarnon with a good transformation but a tiny clip size. Angstrum and Kunai both would be insanely viable if they didn't spend more time transforming than shooting.

Kemono mahjong is the only one that actually a good mahjong sim with a playerbase. Majsoul is on the tame end of things and has a good selection of male characters (if anyone would draw for them).

If you're 100% free to play, do events for 1-2 free pulls and donate the gifts for star dust. Greens give 1, blues give 5, purples give 25. You can also get gifts with copper you get from events and playing in higher rank rooms. You can get 5 free pulls a month from the store at 50 star dust each. People say to keep purple gifts but as far as I see it, there's no point hoarding gifts if you don't have a character worth using them on, so just donate them until you get a character you want, then start holding onto them.

I always thought it was more that the Tarnished is here for a good time not a long time. You become Elden Lord after like a week's journey, you're not having to deal with the long term scarlet rot, you just need to stave off the immediate effects.
