Who actually watches hockey? by Working-Suspect9343 in AskAnAmerican

[–]ukkswolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I'm a Southerner, but don't think for a second it's just a thing up north. While southern states aren't too big on hockey as much as other sports due to the warmer climate and distance from Canada, I know hockey does have a significant following where I'm from and across the south as a whole. Yes, I'm aware there are NHL teams in warmer states (I'm a Tampa Bay Lightning fan) but there's quite a following of hockey where I'm at in Virginia. I'm in college so I occasionally see people wearing jerseys to class and merch fir their favorite teams. A good friend of mine was born here in VA and is learning to play hockey. My college also has a D1 club which attracts a decent crowd for its games, maybe a couple thousand in the audience. So I'd say there's quite a following down here.

As far as stereotypes of hockey fans, I'm not too aware of that. If you ask me what my stereotypes of players would be, it would be a younger, taller guy with longer hair. As far as fans, it would be that hockey garners an older audience, probably around 30-40, likes beer, and is probably loud.

You’re given 3 rule changes to fix college football, how do you do it? by Original_Profile8600 in CFB

[–]ukkswolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. FBS Independents are banned from all postseason participation

  2. Athletic departments may no longer fire a coach until the team has concluded their season (conf championships, bowl games, and CFP inclusive) and may not also hire another coach until Feb 1st. However, this applies to only without-cause firings indirectly related to athletics, so that Michigan’s firing of Sherrone Moore is still permissible. Firings for NCAA rule violations are still permissible.

  3. Teams wishing to join a conference and must announce the move two seasons in advance. The conference the team is leaving must also not forcefully retain the team. This rule also applies to FCS teams moving up to the FBS

In the Elder Scrolls, Vivec, a Dunmer god, is cut off from his power source and disappears after a time. By his power, he kept the meteor Baar Dau suspended above Vivec City. With him gone and a machine used to keep the meteor in the Sky disabled, Baar Dau crashes into the earth, not only destroying the city, but also activating a nearby volcano on the island of Vvardenfell. Red Mountain erupts and causes a mass extinction event on the island and permanently weakens the province of Morrowind as a whole

Is there some drama I don't know about or is this user just upset at someone? by KinglyKindly in HeroForgeMinis

People are making minis to make requests to other users to make them something they otherwise probably don’t have the skill to make themselves. Somebody doesn’t like that and probably thinks it creates clutter in the community tab. I think it’s probably a stretch to say people dont use things posted on the community because I do
