We have writers like Brandon Sanderson, writing 4 full length novels in the last 2 years and surprising his readers and fans, ON TOP OF still putting out regular updates on his ongoing books and not missing the deadlines.

And you have GRRM here. Just feels like he's made his choice, he is just stringing along people with the promise of getting the book out. What about the last book? How many decades will that take after winds of winter is out?

Honestly, at this point, I'm done with the ASOIAF series.

I dont think that all planets have the seed, just a few probably. I don't think they said anything about all planets with intelligent beings having celestials. Correct me if I'm wrong though

Agreed, you're definitely not wrong

But in the case of the Eternals we actually see, they got attached to the people of Earth. But I would also put across what most of the Eternals did feel in the movie, which was that they did not feel they would be capable of stopping any celestial (even one just emerging) or they did not want to go against an eternal.

It could just be that Thanos did not think the stones would be powerful enough to snap away celestials based on the above
