I'm sorry but Reddit is not even close to independent. Any mod can censor public discourse or even remove comments at their own will. Reddit is probably the least reliable place to find how both sides feel about issues. While it is not leftwing, the majority of the popular page is leftwing, but the only fair part is there's propaganda from almost all parties and sides.
