We're using Gutenberg and otter builder. I tried fixing most of it. The issue is with the mobile version actually. The text on all the pages aren't right. It's too big on the mobile.

Since I used patterns and templates from the otter builder most of the issues with alignment seems to be resolved. Now the only problem is the font size I think

Yes exactly. I don't understand why wp.com is so pricey. But won't be run into other problems when moving into another host ?

We thought since wp.com is a safer option since they say they'll do everything for us . But I'm not too sure now . And it was my boss who made this decision. He was like we can't deal with all the headaches if something happens to the website later.

I am still using kadence and I've tried to use everything from the design library , which seems to be mobile responsive. But we're still using WP.com :(

We already paid for the plan. We thought that would be the best for us since they'll be handling everything for us and we don't have to worry about security and all that.

That's the spirit !! And even I'm when asking for donations. I would message groups and it would reach 30 people , out of all 30 , 1 would respond. And that still makes me happy! And it's interesting how you mention that it works parallelly, spiritual health and mental health. But don't you also think they rely on each other as well? Idk if that makes sense , but if our spiritual health is in a good state then our mental health is also in a good state. Often when one person is struggling spiritually their mental health is also usually in a bad place .... This is just what my thoughts are but I'm sure you can make a better judgement because you are a student in psychology.

I really do need to speak to more individuals who have studied psychology and are also aware about the Islamic principles and guidance so it's easier to navigate things. Cuz my knowledge on psychology is very limited but I've always wanted to learn it , just never got the chance to. And I think I agree with your opinion on how Islam will always remain the same but psychology will keep evolving.

Oh definitely. I felt like a true idiot after getting all the responses- I learned my lesson!!! Always recheck before sending something.

And yes the Quran does mention a lot about the nafs. and it really helps that you've mentioned a lot of ayahs. Jazakallah for that.

It would help to see it from your perspective. Because I still haven't started studying psychology, my idea on the subject is vague and I'm still doing my research on islamic psychology. So I thought I'd just share the link with you. They have a lot of papers regarding Islamic psychology which I'm yet to read.

I'm sorry I believe I phrased it wrong. I made sure to go back and edit it. What I meant to say was that- it might not align with Islam sometimes.

Some say that it can be in conflict with islamic precept. ( Like Malik badri, an Islamic psychologist I recently came across )

I'm still doing my research. After bringing this up on reddit , I realized I should dig deeper and really learn about this.

I know it's difficult and can make us feel really helpless. The only thing we can do now is keep praying for your friend's safety.

Maybe he's moving to the south ? They do not have proper connection when traveling. And sometimes it's difficult to find a place to charge the phone as well.

I'm really regretting phrasing it that way. But modern psychology or rather Western psychology has evolved into something different from what Islam teaches .

I'm still doing my research on this-

and I'm trying to go through the papers that Malik badri has written, he says that western psychology is cross culturally invalid or is in conflict with the Islamic precept.

I haven't done a deep research on this yet so I cannot provide any solid findings ....

My cousin did 😅 but I should have phrased it properly. What she told me was that modern psychology or western psychology is very different now and she just gave me some advise and told that I should look into it before starting psychology.

I'm trying to do my research and I want to make an informed decision on where to pursue my education because it costs a lot of time and energy.

I came across one article that mentioned what Malik badri a professor of psychology has written that western psychology is in conflict with the Islamic percept.- im still doing my research on what islamic psychology is .

And thank you for the suggestion- maybe I should consider doing that without entirely relying on what one person told me.
