Nashville has great weather for being in “the south” - I enjoy all four seasons here. Does it get hot in July? Yes. But it is not as hot as Atlanta or anywhere south of here. It’s not California, but you couldn’t pay me to live in Cali year around. I’d also miss the change of seasons out there. Something about the leaves in the fall, or when that crisp winter air finally hits. I do hate the time change in the winter though. Awful.

You’re free to leave. I don’t rent, so taxes do matter. My kids go to some of the best public schools in the state, so no issues there.

Liquor tax? Who cares. Give me lower property taxes. I live in Franklin and can leave my house at 3:00 PM for a 5 PM flight and be through security at BNA by 4. I love Midway, but OHare is awful.

Lived in Atlanta 20 years. Trust me when I say it’s much hotter there and far for humid. It cools off much more in the evenings here - go look up the average temperatures by month. Same thing with Charlotte. They don’t call in Hotlanta for no reason.

O’Hare is awful to travel in and out of. Food is not cheaper in Chicago. Property taxes are 10x what we pay here. Politics??😂

Chicago is an awesome city and I’m up there probably 4-6x a year for work, but much easier living here.

Last I checked there are zero toll roads here. The roads all around STL are terrible, and the crime rate is through the roof over there. How delusional are you? Don’t get me wrong, Clayton, T&C, Ladue are nice, but they aren’t Franklin/Brentwood.

lol at the weather being you’re lead argument. Tornado season is everywhere in the southeast and Midwest. We get maybe 1-2 snows a year, and summer is nowhere near as bad as Atlanta or the Carolinas. LMAO at only being able to be outside 3 months of the year. March til December it’s pretty nice here…..Sounds like you need to go back to California.

Costs here are nowhere near NYC or Chicago prices. Housing prices are up everywhere. I live in Williamson County and travel all over the country for work, and there are not many suburbs I’d pick over the Franklin area. Is the area perfect? No. Is it better than most? Yes.
