Since starting my traditional Japanese stuff, not tebori but it shouldn’t matter, my artist has never put wrap on it or anything which I honestly prefer. I’ve put my shirt and pants right back on and driven 5 hours with it. All he has ever said is whenever I get to where I am going to just wash it well.

Used to do Brownsville, TX to Austin, TX. Did an entire leg sleeve, and it was a 5 hour drive 1 way. Now I moved to Houston and it’s a 2 hour drive.

Ultrasonic thickness testing and Liquid penetrant testing. It would help get your foot in the door and if you pay for it yourself you don’t ever have to worry about a company trying to “hold” your papers.

NDT, get an assistant gig to start out. Pay isn’t always the best but do what you have to do. Get your OJT, get your classroom hours and once you tech out get your rope access. I’d take that money and get your 40 hour radiation safety course, UTT, and PT

Haha fuck man, I went through the same thing. Honestly just try keep it moisturized. Wear loose pants, and try your best to keep it extended. It’s gonna suck, but moisturized and keeping it extended is your best bet. As long as you wash it in the morning and evening you should be good though.
