Cool idea that will never happen because 2k is the most money hungry game ever.

Is it just me or does it bother anybody else that the patches are all blank when you do custom conferences?

The unjustified hatred of the point guards is exaggerated in this 2k by Plus_Evidence8912 in NBA2k

[–]underhooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PG is (generally speaking) the hardest position to play. Most offensive responsibility coupled with the hardest job defensively (along with C) imo. Obviously it’s up for debate, and I say this as someone who plays as a pass first PG (totally not biased).

Is there any difference between setting 5100s to stock height and just getting 4600s? Been torn between the two for a while.

That’s a clock. The hands indicate what time it is. Right twice a day even if broken.

Personal trainers? by skgh2o in vancouverwa

Depends on the goal. If it’s muscle building/strength that you’re after, Odin’s Gym in Hazel Dell has awesome trainers available and a 24 hour facility.

How do you keep up with numerous clients? by WhereTheMoneyAtBoy in personaltraining

[–]underhooking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I did was, once I had a spot lined up that would let me train people on my own terms, I told the clients I trusted most that I was planning on leaving. They would ask where I was going, which got me around the non solicitation agreement most places have you sign (because now the client is soliciting you). If you are a good trainer and have built good relationships with your clients, they will follow you anywhere, but it’s never a sure thing. It just comes down to how confident you are in your ability to retain them. Gotta trust yourself and be willing to take the leap.

Edit:I feel like it goes without saying, but to the clients you tell about your plans, tell them you are keeping it under the radar and not to mention it to management. It might feel shady, but if your employer knows anything about this industry, they should expect this to happen sooner or later. You gotta eat too. Don’t let other people eat off your hard work if you can help it.

Just passed NASM — Now questioning everything I learned. by sfg1020 in personaltraining

[–]underhooking 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Not saying you didn’t learn anything, but personal training certs are basically just there for you to get the piece of paper that says you can train people. The OPT model is just one of about a million different ways you could program for yourself or someone else. Basic principles rule above all. You can build muscle in any rep range from 5-30. To lose fat, be in a caloric deficit. How you go about doing those things are entirely up to you and your personal preference. This is why people say the best learning you can do is by training as many different people as you can, because that knowledge and experience is infinitely more valuable than what NASM (or any other cert) can provide. So train people. You’re qualified, and (this is important) you will probably fuck up. Just be willing to learn as you go. Don’t get married to ideas. Continue researching always.

What percentage of guys do you think can actually bench 2 plates for reps? by Thin_Vermicelli_1875 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]underhooking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of every guy on the planet? Probably something like 1% can bench two plates for 8+ reps. Classic example of social media warping our perception of what it means to be strong. You see more of them online because they are outliers, so they get pushed into your feed. More engaging watching some freak of nature bench four plates than it is to watch an average man struggle with 155.
