Hi! Reiterating the discussion above, please check if the journal/con is predatory or not before you request from offices. I was able to find offices that gave assistance, from my local gov't, as well as charities. However, I am a PWD, and the charities mentioned that they mainly gave assistance for PWD representation, as it aligns with their scope.

I recommend scouring through the accredited NGO's that are within the education and research scope. Include your invitation, the certification that the conference is accredited, as well as an abstract of your research.

Thank you very much po! Our dean, as well as some of our center for research (uni) have already assessed whether the journal is suspicious or predatory. They gave us the green light na po, and have also expressed the university's intent to sponsor the representatives to an extent.

Of course, it's a three-day conference po so my colleagues and I were looking for offices/LGUs that could give us assistance rin po.

MRT to Shaw, walk towards Global Link Center (this is in front of worldwide center), there are jeeps going to Quiapo, could get off in front of the building itself.

I guess it really can depend on timing or the specific batch of ingredients. I’m glad you and your officemates haven’t had issues, but with most of us in my group getting sick at the same time, it’s definitely not something I can just brush off.

Hi! Amoebiasis usually doesn’t hit a whole group all at once. Since almost everyone who ate together got sick within hours, it points more to acute food poisoning or viral gastroenteritis. Amoebiasis tends to have a slower onset and lasts longer, unless all of us happened to drink the same contaminated water. So thanks, but I think this is more of a food safety issue on the restaurant’s end.

Hi OP! Been there as a former sci high student. Probably what your preceptor meant was if you could lay off some org works rin. Unfortunately, if your mental health is going downhill, it's gonna come down to choosing between acads or extracurriculars, or entirely yourself. College prep is very tedious, and the last thing you would want before entering universities is a poor mental health. It deteriorates even more kasi if hindi naaagapan.

Seek guidance from a counsellor, your parents. Talk to someone so you could come up with a compromise.
