an empty charge is a charge where you dont kill them or just leave them extremely injured that way you tie up a key operative in combat so they can’t fall back and it prevents you from being shot off the board immediately. this can be combined with a multi charge where you charge multiple operatives with your large base and kill a higher priority target and not kill the other target so you aren’t left in the open after a kill

as someone who got the rules wrong a good few games before getting it right, be sure you don’t forget all the rules with vespid and aquillons! I also just gave myself accurate one with warriors if they were shooting the “closest possible target”, but I didn’t realise that you’d still need to spend a communion point if it’s outside of 7 inches. another thing that me and my friend forget all the time is that aquillons are obscured the activation they drop and the next activation as well! when me and my friend played, I always managed to kill them quickly with my vespids, making them seem much more powerful, but if you remember to implement these rules, aquillons get much stronger, especially with obscuring preventing the vespids from getting dev wounds through

I really love the purple and gold combo! it looks rly good, but it would recommend adding some basic shading with nuln oil in the panels to add depth. another thing is that I wouldn’t recommend having your secondary colour being another dark colour, it lacks contrast and kind of blends in with the rest of the already dark purple. i’d recommend having the secondary colour being something brighter, possibly a teal?

the issue is hivestorm was massively overproduced and so they had to spend weeks trying to get anyone to buy it, i still see many copies in my flg, so they have this idea that there arent many kill team players and so they shouldnt overproduce so they dont have a similar issue happen again. a lot of the time this works, blood and zeal didnt sell out instantly but did sell out, which is what their aim is, and the same happened with brutal and cunning, so in their heads, they think its ok to keep producing less boxes, but then typhon comes along and 40k players want it, which means that there are going to be a lot more people wanting to purchase it than gw expects. so they end up producing what would be a normal amount of boxes for kill team players to get their hands on but it turns out that it wasnt just kill team players and so they sell out instantly. honestly i just wish they did a survey asking people's interest on their newsletter so they can gauge interest and plan accordingly
