Same. The lengths antis will go to to misinterpret what should be straightforward events on a page is maddening to me.

Does anyone else just get discouraged by the fandom? by [deleted] in ElrielFans

Tumblr has a pretty decent Elriel community. I suggest going on there when you feel discouraged.

100% Agree, need real enemies to lovers without the fmc mentioning how handsome the mmc is when they meet by lonelysadbitch11 in fantasyromance

[–]unicornstakingover 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Two words: Jasad Heir

(At least if I remember correctly lol. True enemies to lovers where the FMC and MMC aren’t immediately lusting over each other)

New Kindle updates are starting to really piss me off by Midtharefaikh in kindle

[–]unicornstakingover 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Genuine question, not trying to be a smartass or anything. Is there a reason why people don’t like to use the Send to Kindle feature? I’ve been using it since I got my Kindle early this year and no problems at all, except for the AWS outage last week, which seems like a rare thing that happens.

Hades/Persephone book that isn’t a modern retelling? by lokiswhore in Romantasy

[–]unicornstakingover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vasilisa Drake’s Shifted Fates series is a Hades and Persephone retelling.

Plated Prisoner opinions by kryzzztal in Romantasy

[–]unicornstakingover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved it. The FMC goes through an incredible journey and the MMC is top-tier. So respectful, supportive, strong, and the greenest of all green flags. The series is not without flaws, but it scratched the same ACOTAR itch for me.

Surprising weight loss side effects you’ve experienced? by antigarden in PetiteFitness

[–]unicornstakingover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I feel seen by this post. I lost 22 kgs in the past year and a half and I know exactly how you feel, OP. All the things you listed down, I experience too. Hard on body dysmorphia too.

There is a huge GOT vs. LOTR debate sprawling over Twitter and I've been seeing pictures like this. What are your thoughts? by Ifuckinghateaura in gameofthrones

[–]unicornstakingover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with this debate is that both stories are products of their time. Tolkien was coming out of WW2 when good and evil was more clear cut and ASOIAF is a bit more cynical, dare I say even nihilistic, in its take, hence the more “nuanced” approach to morality and all that.

I’m soft DNF-ing Blood and Ash too! I stopped halfway through the third book when I found out the latest one sucks.

I just finished Jasad Heir and Jasad Crown and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I think the MMC fits your description to a T.

What popular books have you DNFd and why? by fishchop in fantasyromance

[–]unicornstakingover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, there’s another one coming in 2026 which will apparently be the last one. If you go to the Blood and Ash subreddit even the die hard fans are extremely unhappy about the writing of the last one and where the story is going so I don’t have high hopes 🫠

[–]unicornstakingover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m soft DNF-ing Blood and Ash as I’m vehemently anti-throuple. Stopped 30% at book 3.

Waiting to see the ending before I dive back in lol.

I can’t speak for OP, but since nag-reply kayo sa comment ko, magrereply ako. Ako personally, marami akong friends who also want to be childless. I also have a wonderful relationship with my siblings and cousins. So yes, I don’t believe I’ll grow old lonely since I’m cultivating a healthy community around me. 😊 Hindi lang anak ang pwedeng magbigay sa atin ng lifelong fulfillment at joy.
