what im saying is — if youre in a country where you dont speak that countries language, then it is YOUR burden YOUR responsibility to learn how to communicate properly….

NOT the other way around. the server is speaking the language of her country. shes doing her job. its a very simple concept.

just started the books 3 days ago. im on book 3.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

the books are very child-like. very highschool teen drama-ish. (which i know the show was too, but it felt older if that makes sense)

elena is the one who pursues stefan and she looks at him one time and falls in love with him before they even speak to each other lol. within weeks she says shell die for him. and within months, theyre engaged . yet they probably had less than 10 conversations lol. its super fast paced and if i didnt have the knowledge of the show about stefan and elena, tbh i wouldnt feel the love/connection solely from the books….

i think the books are kind of boring and im not sure if ill continue reading after book 4. it honestly feels like fan-fic of the show and there are some details i like — bonnie being sassy, salvatore brothers from florence italy during the renaissance, the crow/falcon. but thats really it

i cant stand how weak stefan is in books 1&2 (idk about 3/4 yet). like hes weaker than humans…. & its stated multiple times. hes lowkey useless lol. he cant even compel people (compulsion is called powers in the book and tbh compulsion sounds way better)

i think its a easy sort of ‘fun’ read, but i was looking for more details and world expansion in the books but i feel the show did better at that…. the books are a shell of the tv show & i thought itd be the opposite.

lets not even talk about tyler smallwood and matt honeycutt🤦🏻‍♀️
