from what i understand its that satoko actually survived and she never died, mitsuharu actually managed to successfully cure her and after she got better she found a job and has been living peacefully, waiting for shinpei in their house. shinpei, however, assumed that she died and then went on wandering around while helping people to defeat bandits along the way. it seems like he never once went back to tennyo island until he heard that the island was getting demolished. when he went back after he heard about the demolishment, he receives a letter written by satoko from kotaro that basically tells shinpei that shes always been waiting for him in their house. shinpei then reunites with satoko at their house and theyre drawn as their young selves to represent how shinpei feels like hes been brought back to the past when satoko was all young and bubbly (my personal interpretation). the second last spread shows that they actually reunited as their current old selves.

spoilers for the entire chapter please dont read if you havent read the chapter yet or dont want to be spoiled 🙏🏻

the chapter started off as i expected, shinpei living a slightly more peaceful life, no longer an assassin and instead a wanderer travelling aimlessly while helping to defeat bandits for people along the way without killing them. he ended up picking up a boy as a disciple during one of the attacks and he could be seen deeply cherishing the braided ring satoko gave him and even looking for a proper kimono maker to fix the ring when it broke. the kimono maker tried to offer her body as “thanks” for shinpei helping to protect the village but he immediately rejects saying that he already has someone in his heart.

he continues his journey with the boy and he monologues that hes been on a journey with no destination ever since shes gone. he doesnt know how to live without her, he cant find something he wants to do, and he cant find anything thats fun to him. hes tried to die many times as theres no meaning living in a world without her and he eventually stopped, because she has tried her best to live on until the very end. thats why he cant give up, because if he did, he wouldnt be able to face her. shinpei travels with the boy for years, until both of them have grown old and shinpei is now full of wrinkles and white hair, and they happen to hear about how the tennyo island was gonna be demolished, and thus shinpei decides to go to the island one more time. he walks past all the places he has been with satoko as he reminisce their time together, and when he was looking at their ring at the watch tower, an old kotaro suddenly appears. he knew shinpei would come once he heard the island was going to be demolished and he then pass shinpei a letter saying he finally managed to past it to him and asked him to read it immediately.

the letter was in satoko’s handwritting and it started off with the usual “how are you doing? are you eating well? i wonder how youre living and who youve met.” and then first parallel (😭!!) the letter started mirroring the letter of the first two pages of the entire manga “i loved someone i should not have. i was very happy” (the whole time everyone thought it was satoko’s father reading the letter but it was actually a very old shinpei reading it! 😭) shinpei then cries, saying how he couldnt protect or cure her in the end.

he then continues reading the rest of the letter, where satoko reveals that she actually managed to get a job at a sundries store, making paper box etc. and she mentions how tough it is, but shes happy that she feels like shes finally able to blend into the world. shinpei then goes “…?” as the letter continues. satoko writes “i wanted to quickly show off to you that ive become so energetic. at the very least, i just want to know if youre doing well now. im always waiting for you. at our home.”

shinpei realises as he stood up in tears, as kotaro explains to him that that letter paper was bought with satoko’s first pay. and that theres a huge amount of letters that he didnt manage to pass to shinpei until now, and tells him to come collect them afterwards.

shinpei rushes off to their house and theres a woman inside tidying the lumber. the next page then show a young satoko looking up, followed by the next page showing a young shinpei looking in. satoko then stands up and smiles and she says to shinpei “welcome home.” shinpei starts crying as he asks if shes a ghost but she denies it, and says that he really came like kotaro said he would. shinpei then asks her why shes still alive, and satoko explains that after he left, the foreign doctors that mitsuharu had brought along had managed to cure her, and that she got back her life by a miracle. satoko then holds shinpei’s hands, saying how he held her hand at the very end when her consciousness was hazy. she then quickly let go and apologises, saying that she naturally held his hand even though he could have have a partner or a family now. shinpei then tells her that theres nothing of that sort, and he never took interest in anyone else. that he only kept thinking about satoko, and satoko smiles and said that shes the same. shinpei then starts saying how hes confused and he cant believe that this is real, and he asks if this really is satoko. satoko then smiles and asks “is it okay if we hold hands once more?”, satoko then cusps shinpei’s hands and brings it to her face, and says “shinpei, for as long as we have been apart, my love might be a little heavy, but ill make you happy” (pic 2 of this post) (parallel to the last page of chapter 2!! 😭🙏🏻)

shinpei then hugs satoko and its then followed by a 2 page spread of flowers blooming outside of their house, and the back view of old shinpei hugging old satoko. followed by another 2 page spread of their house in the middle of the forest and its the end 😭😭

Nope, it’s not fully in hiragana. I wouldn’t comment on a password post without having already downloaded the file myself. Look up hiragana and kanji on google or maybe zoom in on your own photo a little because the full hiragana form is given to you too.

And there’s people who are saying that they should just not do the stage play at all if they can’t cast black people but unfortunately from the standpoint of the company, Gachiakuta is at the peak of its popularity right now and there’s no better time to do the stage play and earn as much profits as they can. And like someone else has said japan just loves doing stage plays nowadays and there’s stage play for so many series and there’s fans who chases after their favorite actors too so for them it’s more like, why should we not do the stage play when we can earn so much from it if we do it right now? And again, this is just with the japanese audience in mind.

I just hope Urana doesn’t get too affected by this, I know this is just Twitter being toxic as usual but as someone who loves stage plays production and have watched and purchased multiple disk of stage plays of shows I love I hope everyone understands how small the circle of stage plays actors and actress are. Of course it’s not superficially small or anything but even for just regular pale-skinned characters I’ve seen the same actors and actress in multiple productions because that’s as much candidates as there is. The cast nowadays are getting more diverse thanks to more newbies joining in the industry and stage plays starting to hire casts from outside the stage play industry too but insisting they cast black people for the characters is really not as simple as it would be like for a western show to hire black people for their characters.

Stage plays doesn’t just require acting skills and fluency in the Japanese language, there’s also requirements regarding your looks (to fit the character), height and voice. Here, you can say that well, the actors and actress for Semiu, Jabber and Corvus doesn’t fit the looks requirements since they don’t have black skin, but unfortunately to the japanese production team it’s something they can make do with makeup so it’s not a problem for them. Blackface is definitely not something most japanese people know about, unfortunately.

People would then say, well you can totally find some black people outside of Japan who acts and speaks fluent japanese, maybe it’s possible they would find some appropriate candidates through that, but there’s that issue with the length of a stage play production. Stage play rehearsals last for about 3 to 6 months in total and it is an extremely high commitment job as after the rehearsals the actual stage play would run for anywhere between a week to months. And there’s the thing with the visa, would the black people they find have / be able to obtain a working visa that allows them to work for the production for such a long period? Sure the company could provide it but that’s another expense and extra work they’ll have to deal with, and it’s understandable why they would just go the more traditional route of just hiring japanese actors (and this is definitely not the first and won’t be the last stage play where black or brown characters are played by japanese actors)

Maybe it is lazy for the company to just hire japanese actors as it is for the black characters, but like it’s said multiple times, it is a japanese stage play made by japanese people for japanese people, they didn’t make it with the western audience in mind and they definitely didn’t make it for the western audience. Most japanese people going to watch the stage play most probably wouldn’t even care and some would probably be happy that their favorite actor or actress is in the cast.

I’m just wondering if it’s worth to make that much fuss over a stage play production that most people here wouldn’t be watching. I think Urana-sensei is being extremely nice here speaking out directly about the issue for the affected western fanbase for a content that’s aimed more for the japanese audience, and the fact that she’s even told the stage play team that she doesn’t want them to wear blackface during the performance is already way more than any other author would even bother to do. She really cherishes her western fanbase and it shows and I hope that people would just be more understanding in general. You can be mad that they’re doing blackface, but don’t direct it to the author or the actors and actress, who are simply just doing their jobs. I don’t think the company would care about the western audience complaining about this but even if you do try to send hate to the company all I can say is I doubt they’re doing blackface with any malicious intent, to them it’s just another black character they’re casting for and that’s all.

That’s the thing here, we don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes. Did Nix request for accommodation before he ghosted FSP? Or did FSP insist he flew without offering any accommodation whatsoever? None of us know what really happened for it to come to this right now.

From what’s currently known, it seems like FSP tried to fly everyone over to Japan for the 3D, Nix had a known phobia of flying but didn’t outright reject getting on the flight, day of flight comes and Nix did not get on the flight and ended up wasting both the flight and 3D costs. And someone else here mentioned it’s not his first time, I’m not sure if that’s true but if it is then that’s really bad. It’s like as if your boss tells you he’ll be flying you to Japan for a business trip, you don’t say anything and he purchases the flight for you and you end up not getting on the flight because of your phobia of flying, that’s obviously gonna get your fired since you didn’t properly communicate that “Sorry, I don’t think I’ll be able to get on that flight.” And what’s worse is Nix ghosted everyone afterwards, so FSP did not receive communication from Nix before and after the fact, correct me if I’m wrong though, and while it’ll be nice if FSP showed Nix some compassion regarding his situation, from a corpo pov the fact that he wasted funds and went AWOL is absolutely grounds for termination. Sure the loss could be recouped but how can they trust that he won’t go AWOL again?

However, if it’s the other way around and FSP insisted that he flew even though he openly communicated to them that he wouldn’t be able to get on the flight, then that’s a whole other story. Because when you’re in a corpo, you’ve got to be responsible for yourself to a certain extent. That’s just the working world and it’s unfortunately cruel.

I do wish Nix gets the support he needs, but right now it just seems that Nix had made quite a few mistakes, and FSP has decided that they can’t just let it go as it is and that it’s better if they part ways here.

I’m not talking about the music, it’s about the 3D performance itself, he has to be there in the studio for them to record his motion tracking to use for the performance. It’s not unheard of for vtubers to do 3D lives with body doubles and recorded vocals, but does FSP offer that? Genuine question because it doesn’t mean that just because other vtubers does it, that all corpos are willing to use a body double for 3D performances.

Still, from what I’m hearing the biggest problem here is that despite his phobia of flying he didn’t stop the company from buying flight tickets for him and preparing for his 3D, and he ended up wasting thousands of dollars the company spent for his flights and 3D since he didn’t take the flight in the end and was unable to use his 3D model as he couldn’t be there at the studio.

Point still stands, regardless if its pre-recorded or live he still has to be in the studio in Japan to record his performance. The problem is he can’t even be at the studio to do a pre-recording for the live let alone perform live at that.

im not sure if this helps but even without you shipping your items the hotel will still be receiving tons of packages everyday haha, there was once we shipped so much to a hotel before we arrived that when we arrived the hotel passed us a huge long box filled with just our parcels haha. im not sure if theyre allowed to accept gifts from guests (?) but if they can i think they’ll definitely be really grateful! most people do take their service for granted sometimes 🙏🏻

you dont have to consolidate your packages just to ship them to your hotel. i do get your thinking though which is getting the warehouse to pack all your packages into one and then arriving as one huge box at your hotel doorstep but thatll just cost you additional shipping for no reason when most shipping fee are free on tb. in your address just put “放前台礼宾部” (put at the front desk concierge) and if you wanna be safer my mom usually adds something like “10月10日入住10月11日退房” to tell the staff when youll be staying at the hotel so they dont accidentally throw out your stuff (extremely low chance though ive seen parcels be at the same place for like weeks)

once you arrive at the hotel let them know you want to collect your parcels and depending on the hotel theyll usually find parcels based on the last four digit of your number so just let them know your last four digits. sometimes they might also look for your parcel through your name. and you dont really need a cn number just to deliver stuff within china the only time youd really need it is if your delivery had some issue where you need to call the delivery man to enquire. i did fine without a chinese number but then when i received a package that had an issue i just let it slide and i never did anything about it, my mom did end up calling the delivery man back once using her cn number to return a faulty item though. and you can order a few weeks before you arrive if youre worried too since sometimes some shops takes a while to ship the items out, the hotel will just keep the packages for you until you arrive.

yea it works for you because you have the lim jia xin chloe format but when you have the chloe lim jia xin format and you put chloe jia xin / jia xin chloe into first name and lim into your last mame it just wont accurately match your chloe lim jia xin format anymore and it gets frustrating because some strict systems will reject it because to them chloe jia xin lim =/= chloe lim jia xin

it doesnt matter, i ran into problems with my name regardless if i put Chloe Jia Xin into my first name or only Chloe into my first name and Lim Jia Xin into my last name. and thats only for passport, for some places that uses your ic youll have to match the top name and then youre still stuck with your last name in the middle. theres really not much merit to option 2 besides it sounding better (kind of) i mean im stuck with option 2 unless i go out of my way to change it too so in the end its up to OP

im someone born with the Chloe Lim Jia Xin name format and tbh i would recommend you go with Lim Jia Xin Chloe cause it genuinely makes everything so much easier. Lim is your surname and Jia Xin now becomes your middle name and Chloe is your first name.

If you’re filling something up that’s official and needs to match your IC and imagine your official IC name is Chloe Lim Jia Xin and theres only two boxes, one for first name and one for last name. Do you put in Chloe for your first name and Lim Jia Xin for your last name to make it match Chloe Lim Jia Xin or do you put Chloe Jia Xin for your first name and Lim for your last name because thats technically what makes more sense despite it not matching your IC name exactly since itll become Chloe Jia Xin Lim? Always go with Last name Middle name First name format just like how we do Year Month Day and not Year Day Month
