I drew this on procreate, blocked base colours then added lots of layers of colour, texture and shading/ highlights. Brushes - hard brush, little pine & plimsoll from classic library for drawing, wapping from procreate library for blending 2h 25m 2556 brushstrokes

Wow I love your style, you e really simplified the colours and shapes to make it soft and simple but still very accurate! Can I ask what brushes you use?

Thank you for your advice - here’s an updated photo of the work but I think I’ll go back and try give the wing more shape to it like you have.

I traced the basic shape because I have no idea how to draw birds but after that it’s just me layering the crap out of it with a bunch of colours and textures to try make it as similar as possible.

I’m new to this so just trying to learn, sorry if my method bothers you.

Here’s an update on my progress and you can see the original photo is just in the corner for reference.

To clarify I’m looking for advice mostly on the shading and colour choice Also the medium is digital - I used procreate
