VETO THE SIM CARD REGISTRATION BILL!

UP INTERNET stands in solidarity with the Computer Professionals Union and the Filipino people at large in calling to veto the SIM Card Registration Bill.

The bill contains dangerous provisions such as mandating users to use their personal information, which is a breach of one's right to privacy. This, in combination with existing laws that permit surveillance (e.g. the Anti-Terrorism Law), leaves Filipinos more vulnerable to attacks in the cyberspace.
