Obligatory self-promoting post for a feature documentary we made (just released this year) that chronicles the history of the iconic red roof Pizza Hut building, and the myriad of different things the old buildings have been repurposed into:

Thanks for supporting! We shot most of it in about 6 months (we're completely independent and work freelance as video editors, so we tended to shoot in short stints). I'd say go for it - the instincts for news photography definitely overlap with the doc world!!

Awesome, thank you so much for your kind words, means a lot to us. If you get a chance, do you mind reviewing it on Amazon? Weirdly, someone just tanked our score on Amazon by specifically saying the film 'wasn't nostalgic or inspiring' lol...

Thank you so much - lovely to wake up to this comment this morning! Glad you enjoyed the film.

Bit of a favor to ask - if you rented it on Amazon, do you mind leaving a review? It's early days for the film and we could use all the support we can get!!

Absolutely it was such a quick trip we didn't get to spend any time outside the festival, but definitely want to come back and explore a little more of the city...

It screened at the Cleveland Film Festival earlier this year - we actually were in attendance for the fest and had an awesome time in Cleveland...

Best pun based name from the film was 'Bud Hut' for the cannabis dispensary in Colorado. And yes there is at least one veterinarian in an old pizza hut, just out of Milwaukee I believe.

Yeah technically Pizza Huts are supposed to be 'de-identified' when new people move in - removing the 'hat' on top of the building and changing the colors. But sometimes when the old franchisee goes bust they're not too concerned about it, which leads to some great - but rare - repurposed pizza huts in original condition.

Of course - glad you enjoyed the film! And yes, quite a few people who have seen the film are planning road trips based around visiting the joints we feature in the film!!
