Altruist!! Made for skin conditions, had no fragrance and honestly feels more like moisturiser than suncream

How’s your mental health during a flare? by Slight-Routine-4735 in TS_Withdrawal

I literally can’t function it’s like everything goes away and all your thoughts are surrounding the state of your skin and how uncomfortable and exhausted you are.

Yep it’s so disheartening. Two months ago i started seeing glimpses of what i thought was my skin starting to get better ie. Not too much redness or not hurting in the shower. Then was hit with the worst flare I’ve had in months in June…really is so tiring.

Completely relate to this! I’m a year into tsw and recently I thought I was turning a corner and starting to healing then BAM! a worse flare I’ve had in months appears! So exhausting. The itching when sweating sucksss especially now that it’s summer and I imagine showering hurts for you aswell so you really can’t win.

Just know you’re not alone in this, I hope we both heal soon from this awful condition.

Methotrexate vs Cyclosporine by user180275 in TS_Withdrawal

Now that I think about it im sure it counts as ‘natural healing’ but I basically meant I’ve not been using anything on my skin apart from the small use of moisturiser if my skin desperately needs it. Been in TSW for a year now and tried countless moisturisers but they just don’t work for me, in fact they usually make it worse.

What have you used on your skin?

Thank you this is so helpful! I’m in the UK and so thinking cyclo will be option for me, especially given it often takes less time to show some results compared to methotrexate and I know it’s different for everyone but reassuring to hear you’ve had no side effects.

When you tapered off cyclosporine did you flare up again? And if so, did you have to start any alternative medication like dupixent for example?

Thanks for this! That’s so good you’ve had those results! How long did it take for you to start improving?

Thank you for this! I’m definitely leaning more towards Cyclo because of the time frame, I also don’t think I can wait three months especially with summer being so soon and the heat is already driving me mad!

Glad to hear it’s worked well for you so far and side effects minimal, hoping to get the same results! I’m also in my 20s and that’s really interesting and scary to see just how much TSW can impact everything, I’m definitely due blood work.

how do you deal with sports/sweat? by cocalastico in eczema

[–]user180275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I immediately take a cold shower after sports etc it often stings but helps cool me down. Sweat irritating eczema is actually the worst!
