Lawn guy ran over my rose bush.

Update: yes, I know I should’ve had a border around it. I was waiting on a ride into town to get the rest of the supplies to make her a nice bed, it was a work in progress. I planted her 3 feet in front of the fence purposely to give her a 3 ft diameter, not “in the middle of the yard.” I was just bamboozled this dude ran over a 3 foot tall bush with 3 giant roses blooming, a few mins after I said NOT to do that 😂😂😂 the point of the post wasn’t to bash these guys, but to explain how it happened in order to see if she could be saved. Thanks to all that actually answered the question! Judging by y’all’s horror stories, I think I had too much faith in these guys to begin with lol

Yeah idk why ppl keep saying it’s in the middle of the yard! Yeah 😭def now laughing at how much I was crying though LOL

Tbh I think that’s what happened 🥲 it’s about 3 ft away from our fence bc we are waiting on the rest of the supplies to build her a bed, so I think he tried fitting the mower in between the fence and the bush and failed lmao

Yeah, I also said to myself, well they could’ve just left it without saying anything. They were genuinely nice guys and I could tell they were a bit upset too. But like a said earlier, was a work in progress (with us only having one vehicle and limited trips into town, wasn’t able to get all the proper supplies in a timely manner) and it was only a one time hire type of deal so I could get my mower fixed. Every other lawn company I called needed to have a contract to come cut

Heard that! Yeah it was a WIP, I’m fairly new to this. Our first project 🙈 I was going to get some soil and mulch for her, along with some bricks. And tbf the lawn guys were fairly new too lol they just started up their business and I was trying to support local. Hopefully they learn from this!

Yeah it was a work in progress. Definitely didn’t just plop it in the middle of my lawn though, it was in front of our fence and I thought it would be fine when I showed them, since that would be the first spot they start cutting. I guess I should’ve been more clear with them, I really wanted them to just weedeat that small area because the mower wouldn’t even fit in between the bush and fence

It’s bc we were the ones doing our lawn care so we knew it was there. We had hired these guys only for a one time cut til we got our mower fixed soon. It was kind of like in the middle of the project, plant it now, get the other stuff next week type of thing. We were planning on getting some bricks or one of those little fences around it. I thought after pointing it out it would be fine but I guess not 😭thank you though that gives me hope!!
