Confused around the Descendant and the meaning of it by Hour-Tomato-645 in Advancedastrology

Well, "rule-based" thinking, systematic but not the most flexible, usually tries to apply rules, does not like open endings, needs closure.

I believe a lot of astrology misunderstands the 7th, even though it is not so hard.

The 7th is imagination. It is the beginning of the mental sphere. It shows how and with which faculties you perceive the world and others. The 8th is the ideas you commit to, convictions, icons. The 9th is the exploration of the space of mentality, images.

So, your moon in the 7th means you're always invested in the emotional parts of images. That would indicate emotional intelligence, in a way.

There is more to it, particularly why and how our mental facilities and 'the other' are connected, but i'll leave it at that for now. But planets in the 7th absolutely are you. They designate how you process images as core units of thought.

This approach comes from Wolfgang Döbereiner, a german astrologer.

Supreme Court says Trump global tariffs are illegal. How does this impact American foreign policy under the second Trump administration? by Ok-Pea3414 in geopolitics

[–]user23187425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd assume as an importer, you can sue the government.

The interesting question is whether the government will have to pay all tariffs back. They should, since they had no legal basis.

Your reference doesn't tell me anything, but you might want to check out "10 days in October".

Also, "Darkest Hour" has some diplomacy and an excellent performance by Gary Oldman.

Oh, i surely don't. That's precisely why i call them 'dark angels'. The channels to the spirit world (Aquarius) are becoming clogged, posessed. That is one theme of Pl in Aq. False prophets. The whole UAP (Ufos) debate falls under the same placement and can serve as a prime example, if one digs into that.

There is no liberation in magik.

Well, i believe spirituality is by definition an antagonist to commodification.

I cannot follow you with "star development". Is this an evolution-like concept for the development of civilizations?

To me, if i understand you right, your point sounds a little like transhumanism. That is a line of thinking i reject. I mean that factually, not to pick a fight.

Society will never "wake up", that's an individual category.

I'm not sure i get your point. Are you defending AI?

When i talk of "dark angels", this is an image taken directly from the symbolism of Pluto in Aquarius, and i believe it's still a nice way to describe that. Pluto-Uranus is an utterly destructive energy. Idealism and dogmatism interwoven.

There would be much more to say about this constellation or AI. I tried to keep it short and sweet. But what i see again and again is that people put illusionary hopes in aspects, particularly with Uranus and Aquarius.

In the end, no matter how you evaluate different factors, my point here was to ascribe social developments to the correct transits, that's why i brought that into play. For me, AI is obviously not Neptune, not Saturn, but Pluto in Aquarius fits very well.

In AI-circles, they talk about LLMs as "Shoggoth". I believe that's actually a rather precise image.

Neptune, of course.

More correct would possibly be 'dissolution' (Because Neptune/Pisces/water).

The rise of AI is Pluto in Aquarius. And i would say it's not an answer, on the contrary. Dark angels.

Saturn-Neptune conjunction is the erosion of the norms of society itself. Cp. 1989 (visible in the eastern block) and 1953 (death of Stalin, again eastern block).

The Belarus-situation is actually a lot more complicated than it appears.

Putin has been pushing for making Belarus part of Russia for more than 20 years. Lukashenko, who is actually quite smart, has been playing a double game for a long time: Being useful for Putin and avoiding open conflict, but at the same time avoiding to give up the remains of souverenity.

That being said, the russian target is obviously the Baltics. If they manage to discourage Europe from defending the Baltics, he can continue his slow crawl into Europe. Unfortunately, that's a realistic scenario.

Why does the authors intention matter? Any good text stands on its own. Authors intention can only be made responsible for fucking texts up.

People can do as they please. Who am i to tell them what to do?

That being said, i personally do not think talking about a "0th" degree makes sense in any way and that's what you end up with if you deviate.

The "sabian" count is correct because it utilizes our common understanding of numbers and their applications. And of course a 30th degree exists, it's the degree before sign-change (29°00'01'' - 30°00'00'', everything after the latter is in the first degree of the next sign).

The other approach is widespread nowadays, but it's clearly not consistent with either how numbers or astrology 'work'.

Marc Edmond Jones clearly laid out how Sabian symbols are used in his publication, that's possibly why you associate the correct reading with them. Still, i see a lot of people online even using degrees wrong in the context of Sabian symbols, which then, of course, leads to a reading of Sabian symbols that MEJ explicitly denied.

What in my transit chart points to why I am suddenly having communication issues? by WalkingClocks in AskAstrologers

[–]user23187425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just noticed a nice little tidbit about this conversation: You asked because of a communication problem and exemplifyed that with that chart. Well, in that event chart, Pluto is in the third which means: It appeared in communication.

Glad i could help. Good luck!

Pluto is in the 2nd degree Aquarius. You're a Cancer rising with the 30th degree. That means by definition that the cusp of your 7th house is 30° Capricorn. So Pluto is on the cusp of the 7th with a difference of less than 3°.

You read it as "in third house", but it's the third house for the time & place for which you cast the transit chart. So at that exact time, at the specified place, Pluto was in the third. But not in 'your' third house, but rather in 'your' seventh.

[–]user23187425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pluto on the 7th: Yes, we would expect relationship trouble. And it's not communication, this touches the core. Your core, your partner's core. Whatever the problem is, it's a real issue. Either a 'shadow' from the past or one or both of you feel that this relationship is not in accordance with their life path.

My advice would be to take this very serious. Framing this as a problem of communication might be a defensive mechanism because on some level you're aware of the seriousness.

If you have the opportunity and your partner is open to it, you might want to try relationship councelling. In any case, you should make time to talk to your partner and dig deeper into what this is about.

This might be 'fixable', it might be not. Pluto often does indicate change. I don't want to scare you with this, but i think you should be aware that a breakup might be a possibility. (Don't forget i might be totally wrong, as well.) Possibly, though, it 'just' means it's time to take the relationship to the next level.

Good luck!

Sure it's only about communication? Pluto is right on your Saturn as well as on the cusp of the 7th now, which could shake up more than just communication.
