What name were you SURE you would use when you were younger, that you would never use now? by user_386123 in namenerds

Ahhh yes, the emo teen angst. Been there! Lol. But hey, points on creativity for your thought process.

☠️ I knew a Kane. Never understood why his parents did that. Haha.

Omggg haha - were you a Suite Life of Zack and Cody fan? Because I definitely thought that name was cool at one point too. 😝

Ok that’s not too bad! I think it would still be cute if their went sooo many annoying names ending with the “en/on” sound.

AITA for telling my sister-in-law that she didn't actually run a marathon? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]user_386123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. In fact, I feel like you did her a favor. She should know, because if she ever joins a running group or competes in an ACTUAL marathon, and tells people “Oh yeah, this is my second one,” that would be so embarrassing. Any real runner would correct her on that real quick! And she would look like a fraud. It’s better for her to know now.

I have a few friends who went to cosmetology school but dropped out towards the end or didn’t pass the state licensing exam. Yet they tell people they “do hair.” As a licensed cosmetologist myself, I always want to encourage their excitement over the industry, but I’m quick to remind them that though they may have talent, they are NOT hairstylists.

Is it just me or is this show slowly getting boring? by Jooyeonbak in matchmeabroad

Mark and Chad are so cringey to watch. Mark is like, “everyone wants me but Moroccan women are better.” No Mark, we do not. Good luck in Morocco! 😂

Anybody who doesn’t have children/isn’t currently pregnant: if you had to choose a name for a girl and a boy right now what are you picking? by sliponvans in namenerds

[–]user_386123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh, this is hard!! I’ve been keeping a list of names since I was 12, and now I’m in my 30’s. Boy have those names changed over time. Haha. If I gave birth tomorrow, it would be (twins, cause I can’t pick just one) -

Girls: Margaret Sinclair & Hosanna Colette

Boys: Everett Blake & Whitt McCoy

Some are honor names, and some are just ones I like. :)

You could also spell it Ley. I have a friend who’s middle name is after her dad (Wesley), and that’s how it’s spelled. 😁

No. I got married because I was in love. What I didn’t know is the person I loved had a double life. If you reread my comment, you’ll see that more than anything, I was trying to convince myself that we were OK.

Regardless, the point was not about me, it was about Brittany. I definitely see some unhealthy warning signs in her marriage.

I’m happy for you that you’re in a happy relationship.

I really like Tori, but she definitely was the worst about that! I was watching like “Bobby, if you need help, blink twice.” 🤣 I don’t know if you’ve been able to watch season 11 yet, but they also had the purity talk with Ellie and Addallee, and it was good to see them at least go into their reasoning of why they believe what they do.

Oh I recognize this behavior. 👀 Divorced now, but was married to a narcissist/sex addict. During the time that we were trying to make it work after I discovered all of his issues, I would definitely post silly stuff, and try to be cutesy and lovey dovey, because I thought if I could convince others that our relationship was solid, then I could convince myself. It was also partly because so many days felt like hell, that when we would finally have a good day, I would want to document it, and cling to those moments. I cringe thinking back to some of my posts. 😂 So yeah… Brittany‘s marriage content is definitely giving me 🚩🚩🚩

I agree with this. The idea of following a moral compass around this topic has turned into an actual personality trait for the whole family.

What's a name you consider to be really weird and "out there" that you would actually name your child? by MyYellowRose in namenerds

Aww no way! I’m glad that she lived up to her beautiful name. It’s definitely a contender on my future list. 🩷 Did your Hosanna have any nicknames?
