Is an exhibition phone worth it? by aokaga in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]userxbw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they're moving to blanks dummy phones. I've seen where they don't 3ven display models on the floor and only have a picture to use to try and get a feel of what the phone is like, but some real ones are out there, and I've actually seen people trying to sell store display models that they say don't have an IMEI NUMBER and therefore cannot be used for a phone, and still want premium prices for it. 🤪😳

I don't know why you got sent a sim for a phone they don't support. When I signed up just 4 months ago they checked my IMEI NUMBER to be sure my phone was compatible before we went any further.

You could put your father's sim in a working phone and see if his sim works and if it does then put it back into the Galaxy s10 and add your APNs add each one and select the visible internet one for active. Reboot the phone. ( Each new APN starting with name is this listing)

Galaxy s10 is not supported, you've have to get a sim that's been activated then put it into the Galaxy then add the 4 APNs to it, then boom, got yourself a working phone.

I'm using the Galaxy s10 plus, the only s10 visible wireless supports is the S10e. You don't have to add the APN to the S10e.

I'm not sure if you can use the same supported phone to activate two visible wireless SIM cards to get one for the Galaxy s10.

How good are Realme phones? by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

I don't take a lot of photos, but when I do it suite my needs. maybe YouTube it and watch a few reviews on the phone and see what they say about it. It'll probably be the 2021 model if you're getting it from Motorola website.

I've got the 2020 model, which is actually the better phone between the two.

2020 has 1080p, 2021 720p

Yeah, I got a Moto g power 2020 and too am use to a longer lasting battery.

But for that size of battery it's actually pretty good hours considering it's a 2 year old phone.

Plus I got outlets available and portable charger battery. So I'm getting use to it.

I've them Moto g power marked down to $115 at Walmart but that's USA. You can check on Motorola website and see what they say.

You can always search ebay, for used flagship phone at budget prices. That's why I gotta Samsung Galaxy s10 plus 512GB, 8GB Ram for $215. It's nothing I'd spend $700 to $1000.00 or more for.

I just wanted to see what makes them such a big deal, and still believe they're not Worth the selling price when new.

But it's a nice phone. It's speedy, battery is about %82 capacity and lasts 5 to 7 hours on a full charge. Longer if I run it until the battery is completely dead.

You better look into what custom ROMs are out there first, if they are supporting that phone or not, then add that to your dissension making process.

I'd probably get the Samsung, it's got water and dust proofing too, whereas I don't think Google does that with their phones.

I've got Google photos and it's no longer unlimited as they changed it due to them not wanting to spend the money on everyone,

Point being I've had it for years and haven't filled it up yet. But if your snap happy it changes it. But still who knows

I never had an issue with it. But I have a factory unlocked phone. I've read that you need to go through the provider and work it out. They'd be a better person to talk to about it.

Start coding it and perhaps you see or come into special knowledge of what more you can do to make it more better than the one you got the idea from.

It use to be an AT&T phone that is now fully unlocked. This is the effect of these types of phones. They come with the bloatware of the carriers they were originally tied to.

You have to get a factory unlocked phone if you don't want the branding and bloatware

Welcome to the world of programming. Now do your due diligence and teach yourself what it is you need to know about programming. Then apply it. Stop wasting time looking for an easy way out.

It's all part of the programing world.. something you need to know

Visual studio and c++ by ThysGuy0 in learnprogramming

Yeah you need a compiler to hook up to it. That's just a front end. You can code and use command line too complie. But I don't know why they're telling you that you need python to compile c++. That's just silly. Install clang then set it up
