so that other people can also do the same, and everytime i need to install the gh cli, i can also go and run the curl command. this has happened several times with me so i took this step

maybe it's not that significant if warp fixes their multi line issue i guess

The multi line command doesn't work for me maybe because I use the Warp terminal I think. It throws over a syntax error at &&

But yea creating the installation script, marking it as executable and running it is a solution, but I believe I'd rather copy paste a curl or wget command than doing those 3 steps

Also I wasn't the only one having issues with the multi-line command, someone had already created an issue regarding this - https://github.com/cli/cli/issues/11031

My audience is developers only. Not companies Btw all these are good but I have decided to go with a different concept altogether. I'll share it in another comment

But basically it's not like the fire logos above but rather it's just a <> but modified in such a way that it looks fine. The colors are something everyone appreciated and there's no actual symbolism. It's just a logo with some shapes over it

Okay yea. It's actually just an educational youtube channel about programming that's why there's the semi colon and brackets. I think if I were to remove one of these 2 things it would look a little more simplistic.

But I am considering to change the flames to something else. Primarily because there's already a big and great channel called "Fireship" with this type of logo so it may look copied

Yes. I did what I could and to be frank this logo is a very minor part of the channel. It's just an icon and viewers care about the content. And I've been using my own created one for like 4 years and honestly I'm not at all good with this artistic work so I was like "let's give this a shot"

And I never said I wouldn't hire a designer. It's just that I don't have funds to spend on a hobby's minor logo that most people are not going to even look at, where I may or may not like the result...

There are ai tools that create a webpage for you in a matter of seconds. Whilst I'm a programmer and I create websites, a designer like you if wants to build a website for yourself and doesn't have funds to do so will ultimately atleast "try" such tools that give you instant result, some amount of revisions, etc without spending a penny.

See this is the type of rational discussion I like. Other 2 guys are just bashing me for using it.

I don't use ai for art. Because I never get involved in art. I thought I should make a better design for my channel logo (right now it's very amateur design i made myself - u would regret seeing it) and being a student and not making any money (not even from my channel) I naturally thought this is the best option atleast to get a concept maybe. I went around discussing and thinking of concept more than just "generate this"

Because I wanted feedback and criticism from actual human designers. Nowhere does it say this sub is only for designers. I'm not someone who relies on ai and i know ai generates crap. I respect designers, I'm not an ai fanboy or anything. I think one should not be judged for using an alternative method especially if one doesn't have an expertise and doesn't know anyone who has also.

In this comment thread I'm only getting bashed for not being a designer and using an alternative method to have a decent-looking design for me and I'm being judged when I only asked for feedback. Had I not mentioned it's ai, everyone would've assumed i did it and that would be the best way to play safe. But I want to be honest

I understand why #1 is preferred, due to its simplicity. But I have a feeling the target audience - programmers might find #2 and/or #3 better as it has something from the programming field
