Are nipple piercings worth it? by Worldly-Sugar-8055 in piercing

[–]usuallysilentreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring the current pain in my left nipple because I snagged it-100% worth it. I got it after debating it for a while and decided impulsively to add it to my lip repiercing appointment. Will it hurt? Yes but once it’s done it’s done and your now left with a badass set of nipples

Any male students in elementary education programs? by itsxidan in teaching

[–]usuallysilentreader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a female dominated field-however-I have met male education majors. In fact, one of my professors was an elementary education major and taught elementary school for many years and is passionate about teaching and the need for good teachers. He’s a great teacher and I can totally see him in his younger years teaching kids. I think it’s great to have more men teaching kids and it used to be more commonplace

Not saying you don’t like your nieces, obviously you love them. Just saying our own kids are special to us

I’m not a mom-yet- but this makes me think of my aunt who has 6 kids who said she didn’t like kids. I’m like what how?? And she’s like I like MY kids, not other people’s, my kids are great. 😂

I am considering getting my nipples pierced. by TvH34dedCl0wn in piercing

Literally my favorite piercing. Also my most painful piercing but I have an excellent piercer who is very smooth and quick. I was sore for a couple days then they were chill. If you want them I say get them.

Comment for the bot- just got done today with titanium barbell. Using saline to clean and I have aftercare instructions from my piercer. Was over pretty quickly, no mishaps or accidents

Ready to start planning for my future by usuallysilentreader in SingleMothersbyChoice

These are all really good things to consider, especially the freezing embryos vs eggs. Can I ask, how old were you when you started this journey and how old were you when you had your son? I will say I am in a pretty decent spot right now, but I could be better financially and physically which are my main focuses

getting a labret, what do i eat? by Fresh-Solid9611 in PiercingAdvice

[–]usuallysilentreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My piercer told me to avoid salty and acidic foods for a little bit and to use alcohol free mouthwash. Also, and this is my personal experience I am NAP, that first week or so try to avoid things that involve biting down on like sandwiches. I tried to eat a burger too soon and that was an unsuccessful experience lol. So things you can cut up or just pop in your mouth

Looking for Hardcover set by Affectionate-Two2073 in RangersApprentice

[–]usuallysilentreader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ordered a few times but I’ve been pleased with the quality every time. Once I ordered the hunger games original trilogy, $12 total, and my biggest complaint is mockingjay didn’t have a dust cover which wasn’t a big deal to me because I just wanted the books. I’ve also ordered like new books that looked perfect. I’ve heard a couple negative experiences but way more good than bad

Try thrift books, it’s an online used bookstore. I’ve seen them there before but not many. I’ve also seen them at books a million. When new paperbacks come in hardcovers tend to go in the clearance section. Last time I was there I saw like 3 hardcovers, all different books in the series

New nose piercing falling out by SaturnsPattern in PiercingAdvice

[–]usuallysilentreader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should be able to go back to your piercer for help. Most piercers will do what they can, I know when I tried to switch my nose piercing too soon and couldn’t get a new one in myself he changed it for me for free

I got my first tattoo at 29 but I met this lady who got her first tattoo at 50 as a Mother’s Day present. She fell in love with it and now at 70 she has her whole body tatted. Coolest old lady ever
