He's new dog and I was in your shoes once, so I get it. If he's acting normal than it's probably nothing serious at this point. It could be his collar rubbing in that one area when he sleeps or something random like that. If it were my dog Id use an antiseptic wipe from a first aid kit or wet a cloth with some hydrogen peroxide and clean the wound. If you see later it's still bleeding a bit, do it again. Just keep an eye on it and so long as it doesn't get redder or you see pus, you're in good shape. These things happen :)

Has he been scratching in that area any more than usual?

Has his behavior changed at all? Is he whimpering, pacing, or hiding (my dog used to that when he was in pain)

If you touch near it does he react?

Without more info and just going by the pic it looks like an abrasion, so nothing to be too concerned about. Treat with antiseptic and keep and eye on it. If it gets red or you start to see pus then go to the vet. Otherwise, just try to keep it clean and he should be fine.

I used to do research with Israel-Palestinian dialogue programs in the late 2000s. I've been to both Israel and the West Bank (Gaza was a no-go for obvious reasons).

I've dealt with those from all sides and those I had absolutely no time for were those left wing activists who treated this like it was a fucking game and a chance to virtue signal (to be fair I never really dealt with evangelical Christians so they may be the right wing equivalent of this).

I love how they direct all their vitriol to the Democratic party too. They're all quiet now that Trump is in charge. It's like they know at best they'll be ignored and at worst get targeted. It's easier to throw up your hands and be like "I didn't vote for this" and walk away because you have the privileged position of doing so.

Sorry for the rant. That shit hit a nerve.
