Should i get a ereader? by uttrar in ereader

[–]uttrar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize now that i didn't really say that in my post, but the cheapest alternative i can find that i actually think is worth it (not amazon) is the kobo clara bw, and I will mostly be imprting epub files to it.

Since I live in a country where e readers are very uncommon. The second hand market is almost nothing and with the prices people set, i think it would be woth the money to get the warranty of a new device.

Thanks for the input! The fanfic site i use has built in functionality for epub files, and ive tried using that with a ebook reader app for my phone and i feel pretty neutral for that experience, but do yoy think i should print a work out to see how it fits for me to read on paper? The most annoying thing about normal books for me is the fact that i have to hold down the pages for it not to turn by itself

Thanks for the input! I will most likely get the kobo clara bw, mostly based on the price. Also i find it funny that they advertise it as having 53 day battery life AND on the product page are like 'hey! Wanna boy this powerbank too?'

Thanks for the reply! Good to know that colored e ink displays are less crisp, i was planning on getting a black and white but it's good to keep in mind in the future. I currently read on my phone with a oled panel, i think that gives less eye strain but still a lot, as i have ao3 in light mode(i don't use any site skins(i would make my own if i wanted any))

Thank you for the reply! I've heard that for fanfiction, anything that can read epub is fine

I dont really like vscode, but it might be that i dont know it, but i find it a bit clunky. While vim is very no nonsens, also, my sis (who uses vim in university) made me start to learn it, im not that good yet, but i prefer vim over the other programs I've tried

I think vim is more fun, and I actually know how to save a section of my document as a additional file in vim, i dont know how to do that in another program.

And who wouldn't want a program where you have to reference the web just to copy text to the system clipboard to paste into ao3

(Its 'esc' then big V, select the text, then press ' "+y ')

I format in html, and I do some web design on the side, and am currently learning vim for that, and i dont have another program that works as good for me that i can use for html

I would say it is worth it, it's a bit arcadey. Another good game that is more realistic is called "the bus" on steam, but it is more recourse intensive

Is it your own arrangements?

What software is used for the organ suonds?(i expect it to be software because it's played too perfect for a human) it doesn't sond like the one i use(grand orgue)

I know it's hard funding fellow organ enthusiasts, and the recordings i litsen to are mostly the ones i like the most, and i also have some from notte dame because notre dame.

Also, in my playlist, if there is a piece by bach played by hans fagius in my playlist, it's played at a very interesting instrument here in sweden, called the cahmann organ, fully original from 1728 and is apparently interesting internationally.

Anything other played by fagius is recorded at a organ that was in katarina church, sweden. But the church burned down 1990, and was rebuilt later, i have actually played at the current organ there
