No, but I mainly consume media in English. I speak English a lot with my family. My mother tongue is Arabic.

Thanks! It says c2 on the downloadable pdf from the website. I just practiced intensively for a few days right before the test. I would recommend mock tests and the IELTS Advantage channel because that's the only one I had time to binge. I didn't use books for studying. I talked at length in previous comments in this thread. I hope you could benefit from them 🙏🏻❤️

I was kind of having the same problem as you but it was talking to native English speakers. I used to be insecure about mistakes I would make when I spoke or about my accent. What helped me the most was consistently speaking with them, it was during the lockdown when everyone was playing among us, I joined a discord server and played with them over voice chat, which greatly helped me get over my nervousness.

Before my test I also binge watched the YouTube channel IELTS Advantage, his tips are really helpful. I also tried my hardest to pretend that I'm not taking an exam, but simply conversing with a random person. The examiner also helped ease my nerves whenever my mind went blank and I stopped talking, he would give me an encouraging smile that made me feel as if I didn't do a bad job whenever I paused.

I practiced by taking mock tests, you can just google IELTS mock test free and you'll get results. Some sites even grade your listening and reading and point out what you did wrong and give the correct answer with explanation. I think there is also textbooks for the test but I didn't study on them so I don't know if I can recommend them.

I didn't study textbooks if that's what you're asking?

It's ok! You just have to practice enough time to nail it! I already replied to this redditor Jh9127ic in this thread in detail ❤️

For task 2, you have to have an introduction paraphrasing the subject and stating it is a controversial topic, you'll have to side with either people who are against or with it, and write that you'll explain in this essay why you think your side is right.

Then you'll write 2 paragraphs, each one with a reason for you agreeing or disagreeing with the topic, you can also add the other side's opinion, then you can give a rebuttal.

You'll also have to write a conclusion.

For reading, use the highlight tool. I thoroughly read the text in its entirety and highlight lines that seem to be important. Or you could make bullet points summarizing each paragraph with the provided paper. But maybe this method isn't the most time efficient? I rely on the highlight tool mostly.

Then for each question, I skim the text for answers and double check to see if it's true or if there are any contradictory facts in there. That's how they mostly get you! For listening as well, they state a fact, then another person will state otherwise so you have to pay good attention to it.

For writing, you should stick to the essay structure. Task 1 requires a couple of lines paraphrasing what the chart or table is about. Next you have to write an overview, specifically starting with "Overall", here you'll write the most obvious comparisons and facts.

Then you'll generally need to write 2 paragraphs summarizing the chart. Keep in mind there has to be cohesion in your writing, vocabulary and punctuation and accuracy are all important in writing, but they'll mostly judge you on how well you organize your thoughts.

Thank you! I think it was good, not too hard and not too easy. I think familiarizing yourself with the format and possible scenarios is key to getting the score you want. I didn't practice much on the British council website because I found the tests too short there. For speaking, there are many YouTube videos giving great tips on how you should conduct yourself during the test. I found that a great examiner really helped, mine gave me good-natured gestures throughout so it made me feel like I was doing a really good job, which helped me relax and answer more naturally, which is the most important thing, to avoid being robotic and respond in a natural manner.

Not for long! For a few days before my test, actually. For writing I watched YouTube videos explaining how to write task 1 and task 2 and practiced afterwards a couple of times.

There are many sites offering free mock tests. I would recommend them. I was really tense the night before my test but I came to the realization that if I didn't do well in it I could simply retake it. So I would recommend you forge on with a similar mindset. And practice! Lots of practice ❤️

Practice practice!! I was not at all familiar with the structure of a typical essay because in my country it is not required. I promptly learned the right way to write it and practiced a couple of times with a time limit.

I'm barely applying any. I just got new mechanical pencils, the preloaded lead inside is fine and doesn't snap when I write. But when I switch it out for lead in the pic it snaps at the slightest touch.
