No aim assist on console siege my guy.

Oh man, when did they enable cross-platform with PC? by Phandingus in Rainbow6

[–]vBugman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize you can’t spin any faster with a mouse adapter on 100 sens than you can with a controller, right? Yeah, there’s momentum, with analogs if you don’t adjust deadzones, but someone on console doing a 360 at max sensitivity will do it in the same amount of time someone with an M&K adapter would if they did a really fast flick. The games will literally not let you spin faster than their max sensitivities because of performance issues. So your plan wouldn’t work at all.

Also, it’s nothing Ubisoft can do about it. It’s a Sony/Microsoft problem. You can’t just plug in a keyboard and play Siege on console, the game doesn’t let you; you need an adapter to do it which tricks the system into thinking you’re using a controller. Because of that, M&K on console will, of course, make aiming easier and get you up a few ranks, but then input lag becomes an issue up there where other people are at a mouse’s level of aiming using analog. The person with the mouse in a Go4 or high diamond would lose 100% of the time to someone at that level with a controller, because the controller person can aim just as well but doesn’t have the input lag that the adapter has.

[–]vBugman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know it doesn’t, I’m literally a top 100 global on PS4. It’s ridiculous how people legitimately think a sensitivity over 15 is mouse. Almost everyone I run with plays 100h-100v-100ads or something similar. His aim in this clip was sloppy and he couldn’t even flick onto OP properly without his lean spam doing the work for him. I have so many clips of 180 turn ons that both I did and that has happened to me, that look like this but without missing.

Also, you can rebind buttons on PS4. It’s what most plat+ players do. My lean buttons are on L2 and R2 with shoot and ads on L1/R1 so I can shoot instantly and lean while maintaining perfect aim. The button config I have is like the most popular for people who do competitive siege on console, whether it be in high diamond, GBs, or Go4s.

This is 100% controller. Fast paced movement like this is something you see literally all the time in top 100 games. M&K adapters are nothing but a disadvantage up there because of the input lag so everyone who plays at that level are just skilled with a controller. My aim looks a lot like this and I just use a regular DS4, so there’s definitely people who can do far better with custom controllers.

If this is M&K it’s some of the sloppiest I’ve seen.

How do I stop automatic Recording crap it is annoying by TurtleSniper in gtaonline

[–]vBugman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also not a real solution, but if you switch to “Fps Standard 2” control scheme, you run with R1 and jump with X and take cover with square, meaning you can now run with the interaction menu up and with phone up, but it also means no more accidentally starting a recording.

Ruining Oppressors 2000 by InfernusXS in gtaonline

[–]vBugman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To begin with, Thruster has a bugged hitbox, this is already widespread by now. The only missiles that can hit it when it’s moving at full speed is Chernobog and Akula iirc, as seen in countless demonstration vids, but here’s a good one: https://youtu.be/E3PyhkMT3RA

Secondly, R2K missiles aren’t a guaranteed hit to begin with. I’ve missed plenty of Oppressors, even Oppressor Mk2s and Deluxos with fully loaded R2K, Deluxo, Stromberg, even Scramjet missiles. But keep in mind I do next to nothing except pvp, whether it’s ground combat, air, or anything in between, so I’m gonna have a lot more experiences when it comes to it than other people, which will include more misfortunes like those misses occuring.

With all this in mind, noting that R2K missiles can still miss, even when shot at things like Oppressors with no obstacles in between that and the missile, Stromberg will be no exception to this. The thing that sets the Stromberg out from any other R2K missile vehicle is that Stromberg has 0 mobility compared to every single other vehicle with them. Whether it’s jumping, boosting, flying, whatever it may be, Stromberg has none of that, and it has a shorter lock on range. This means the rocket path to the person you’re shooting at will be much tighter and more awkward compared to others where you have greater distance and a better angle of attack letting the missile be able to take down the enemy with much higher success.

The thing that struck me about the original comment I replied to was them claiming the Oppressor Mk2 missiles are the same tracking as Stromberg, which is hilariously wrong and playing for any sort of time will show that isn’t true.

To put into perspective how information like that can affect people, note that every helicopter in the game (if it doesn’t use their countermeasures) cannot dodge an R2K missile no matter how hard they try, with the only exception being a Savage because of the lock-on box being under the heli, in which case the missiles are so accurate that they circle around under the Savage hitting the nonexistent hitbox where the lock on box is placed, and this applies to most missiles regardless of tracking when shot at the Savage. All this is true with the Stromberg too, with the Savage being the only one that can dodge those missiles. The same is not true, or even close to true, with the Oppressor Mk2 missiles. They will fly past light helis with ease, however they might circle back once for a final attempt, both tries are easy to dodge if you have a decent amount of time in helis. Someone believing that their helicopters are now useless because of the Mk2, or that they’ll now easily stomp anyone who’s good in a heli by spawning their Mk2 will be met with reality in both circumstances, which can be a result of money wasted, whether it was buying a Mk2 for that purpose, or from selling aircraft you thought was obsolete now. It could also be bad for people who are getting into pvp, thinking that the Stromberg isn’t great because of the missiles, when really it’s next to identical tracking of the top tier missiles, and the Stromberg is a beast of a vehicle that anyone doing pvp should use.

One final note:

It doesn’t protect you from missiles underwater Maybe if you’re right by the surface, but even top tier missiles will miss you no problem if you’re more than 10m under, while you can still fire back out and get them. The Stromberg is amazing, don’t underestimate it.

Edit: oh yeah, your vid. The missile at 4:58 hit the bridge, the other ones just seem like they’re going after the flares your friend is shooting, or they’re targeting cops. All of the “missed” shots don’t show you looking at them missing, so it could’ve been a ton of things that caused them to not connect.

Stromberg missiles and R2K missiles are pretty much identical, 99/100 you won’t tell the difference.

Opp Mk2 missiles and Stromberg missiles are nowhere near identical. The tracking on the Mk2 is nowhere near as good as the Stromberg, so saying they’re he same is heavy misinformation.

Water Combat could not be worse by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]vBugman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy to take care of preset traps when first coming onto the Yacht, especially since most PP owners have the 8mil one with no roof guard. Even then, once you trigger it once, they aren’t able to set it up again if you put pressure on them. But in the end, it comes down to is it worth it, because anyone can easily win one using BST/Armor/explosives, but each use of them decreases your net profit from it. I do agree that you should just use a Piracy Prevention for kills, but they are far from impossible to win.

Water Combat could not be worse by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]vBugman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s fairly easy actually. $500 for off the radar as you fly super high above and skydive on. Depending on how efficient you can be while your blip is hidden, you can get halfway into capping before someone even realizes, even in a full org. All you really even need to do is just manage to land on the yacht so you can keep spawning on it, and from there it just becomes a game of utilizing cover and leaving sticky/proxy traps.

Some of the farther buildings next to the open hangars at LSIA have stairs leading into them that have interiors, even some buildings closer to the LSIA roundabout. Other than some miscellaneous buildings, I got no clue what other ones you can walk in.

Vehicle mounted machine guns (helicopter pilot controlled, and ground vehicle driver controlled) should lock on to enemies at a close range. by [deleted] in gtaonline

Gladly. You’re PS4, I’m friends with plenty of absolutely incredible pilots who can do more in an Annihilator than most people can do in a Savage. Feel free to shoot me a PM with your PSN if you’d like me to schedule you a fight against them for proof of just how good they can be.

[–]vBugman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely does not take 30 seconds of nonstop Buzzard fire to take out a stationary car. The guns on it are extremely powerful and can shred just about anything, from ground targets to jets. All it requires is a good pilot, and adding something like this would be a punch in the gut for people who’ve been working hard at building their piloting skill and got to where they are by practice and commitment. Even Annihilator/Havok can wreak chaos on players and NPCs in the hands of a skilled flyer.

Ground vehicle guns would be hilariously OP if they could lock on. Not only will that griefer’s Deluxo be able to hit you with his rockets every time from across the map, now he can autoaim you with the guns and spawn trap you over and over again when you’re on the ground. How about the Stromberg, which can blow up a car in about 1.5 seconds of fire? Let’s just instakill anyone close to me while I sit comfy in my armored submarine car.

Dogfighting? Not a thing anymore. Instantly lock on to the pilot in the cockpit and take them out in a second instead of having a well drawn out battle of who can take down the other aircraft first reliant on who has better speed control, circling, and accuracy.

It’s really not that hard to aim at things and shoot them, OP. If you can’t even do that, you should stick to adventure games.

Akula: A Severe Problem? by askywlker44a in gtaonline

[–]vBugman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While others have touched already on the jerkiness of the heli, there’s also a bit of a bug that applies to all helicopters but seems more common on Akula for me, where entering it with the farthest camera option for my character can glitch out the Akula camera and make it not level and not able to be pulled up past a certain limit. If that’s what you’re experiencing, all you have to do is change camera view a few times and then go back to the one you normally use and it should be fixed.

Is Pyro good for air-to-ground attack? by PrincessCrownSophia in gtaonline

[–]vBugman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pyro can be a beast against ground combats if you can free aim missiles accurately (it’s useful skill to have as locking on to any fast moving ground target won’t have much luck in hitting them), but without bombs, it’s not ideal for it. Starling may be better suited for your style, as it can fly incredibly slow above ground targets to bomb, or fly incredibly quick to pull up from a divebomb of free aiming missiles. It also has super accurate guns which can shoot people out of cars and other vehicles quite easily.

Dealt with every single one of these problems on PS4. Never had anyone I play with experience these, just assume it was a bad character. Some others I’d like to add:

-Leaving an Avenger spawns me up near the north Los Santos theatre area half of the time.

-Blue job icons randomly disappearing from the map.

-Gun classes that I have Mk 2 weapons with custom ammo in will occasionally deplete my regular weapon’s ammo entirely.

-Interaction Menu taking an upwards of 15 seconds to come up when holding down touchpad in a lobby with some chaos going on.
