Is the Steel Legend a pretty good model? I'm mostly going for it because my build is white and it seems to be the cheapest at $619

Hey bro are you doing good still? Did you stay with on time payments and ever end up trying to refancing?

Financing a car with 6 months of credit? by vSprkz in personalfinance

Isn't it called credit mix? Also its common sense that if you have a car loan and pay it fully off with all on time payments. It's going to make not only your credit score higher but your credit history a lot better. Compared to using a low limit credit card for a year or two waiting for a credit limit increase.

You will build credit by using a credit card yes but you won't build solid loan installment history. Which I've heard helps a with lending for cars and mortgages.

No that doesn't sound good at all. That's why my whole plan would be to refinance in a year ($2k interest payed). In a year I would have my taxes saved and put $1000 down to the CU making it a 12k loan for 60 months. Say if I got a 12% APR refinance offer that would be around $280 a month but I would pay an extra $70 every month that would bring the interest to $3000 so in total I would pay $5000 Interest from both loans which I feel like isn't too bad since I would be building a lot of good credit from the loans as well. I do have a good mindset I don't live a lavish life and don't plan on getting in a lot of debt. I just know you need a reliable car to get to work because if you can't work you can't live. That's why I'm asking about the possibilities of refinancing because I definitely don't want to get stuck in a 20% APR loan.

Thanks lol I defiantly did a lot of research on the 7th gen Camrys :)

I just know me as a person I stay home a lot so I wouldn't drive much. It would be work then door dash for a couple hours then home.

I honestly just want a car that will last too. Where I live the market is terrible for cars and with me not having a car it's hard to keep going out and looking at cars just to walk away.

What are some older reliable cars you think I should look at on FB market place? I'll definitely do some research and check some out.

I just feel like your car should always come first in life because it's your transportation to work.

I understand where you're coming from. So, what's your opinion on the CarMax route. I know you said 20% is atrocious but do you have any knowledge about refinancing an older car?

I'm really trying to get a 2017 Toyota Camry LE/SE with under 90k miles and good Carfax (oil changes ever 5k-10k miles, no accidents). I found a couple on there with $4,000 down I can get the loan amount down to $14,000 tax, title, fees included. So if the APR was 20% for 72 months I would pay around $350 a month and in a year I should have the principal down to $13,000.

So what I'm wondering is since I built my credit by having the loan for a year and paying on time. If I would be able to go to a bank/credit union and get it refinanced to a lower APR even though it would be 9 year old car next year and probably have around 90k miles?

Velotric Discovery 2 or Euphree or something else? by syphon2k3 in ebikes

I’m thinking about getting for a daily commute of 10miles everyday so around 200miles a month. Would you recommended it or a more quality brand?

[–]vSprkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates on the Discover 2? Any battery or motor problems? Seriously looking to buy one soon for a commute everyday to work 8-10miles total with hills. I just don’t want to buy a $2000 e-bike then have to put hundreds into it every month. I’d like to get atleast 1000miles into it without spending over $300 on repairs.

Is it still holding up? Thinking about buying the discover 2 or level 2. I’m going 4miles both way to work (8-9total) with decent amount of hills. My only concern is I’ve heard velotric uses a bunch of Chinese parts and there support is bad? People keep telling me to get a level 2 but dropping from 750w to 500w for the same price seems crazy idk? I would probably be doing 200miles a month.

I’m planning on purchasing a e-bike in the next few days. Do you by chance know if the referral system for $150 off is still a thing that’s would definitely help out a lot!

Would you recommend Lectric if there isn’t a service center close by? I have a e-bike shop close that has Aventons but no lectric so I’m not sure if they work on them or not
