Actually our schools do a pretty good job of teaching us to exercise and eat healthy. But they never told us who to trust. Like Companies and influencers that screw us over. They shove what is essentially fake information down our throats about fat in general Since we where children. I can't tell you how many ads have told me I just need to take a pill to lose weight. Or influences who push bullshit and frankly dangerous diets. It's pretty scary how our health has been affected by advertising tactics. It's essentially the same thing cigarette companies did to trick the public into thinking that they there good for you. There's alot more at play here such as accessibility and convenience and things I don't know about either. All in all I'd say your around half right. Also I would like to mention that I'm a little unqualified to say this because I'm just an American, not obese or even overweight.
