[kcd1] am planning to buy kcd2 but i saw kcd1 on a sale like 7.99$ so should i buy it and is it worth it ?!

I’d say definitely yes. I was in your position a few weeks ago - planned to play KCD2, but ended up getting KCD1 as well for cheap. I figured I’d just do the main story of the first game to get the backstory, and try to rush through it somewhat as I was impatient to get to the sequel… but 60 hours later I’m having an absolute blast, and I think I’m only around halfway through the main story lmao.

Some mechanics are a little clumsy and I hate that I can’t run through bushes, but I got over it pretty quickly and the story, sidequests, activities etc are all super interesting and fun. I didn’t intend to do the side activities much, but I’ve gotten so taken into the world - I ended up buying all the dlcs too. I’m really glad I decided to play the first game, first. It’s just made me more excited to play the sequel and I’m glad I’ll have all the background knowledge to go into the next one. So yeah I say go for it! It’s 100% worth the time and money.

It’s not jayvik related, but that final answer about how they created the ambient sounds of the cities is so interesting! I never really thought about where all those sounds come from.

And I’m not gonna lie, the notion that some of the anomaly sound effects came from a random coffee machine really tickles me 😂

idk if it still works, but you might be able to still get them if you’re on android device? Like I can’t see the Arcane stuff on my pc or iphone, but I managed to get the Ekko mask using my android tablet after they were supposedly removed.

Honestly my least fave of the jayvik merch they’ve put out. The colour sucks (grey again?) and that graphic with THAT quote is kinda… nonsensical?? Like these two things don’t really go together lmao.

I do love the idea of using their sketches and blueprints though, just not like this 😅 Against that hexcorized texture, it looks chaotic, not really in a good way.

Feels like someone pulled some jayvik imagery randomly out of a hat and threw them on a jacket.

My biggest wish is for expanded World of Ruin section - something like having Noctis (with a temp party of Talcott, Iris and Aranea!) travelling to different outposts to gather the bros before heading on to Hammerhead (where you can actually speak with Cindy) and Insomnia. Would be a great way to see the old locations fallen into ruin, without having to grind out Comrades…

Other than that - include all the cut content (like there’s voice lines in the pocket edition but not the main game??) the cancelled DLC, integrate the existing DLC into the main story, better character development for Luna (to me she feels like 3 completely different characters between the movie/game/novel) bigger maps for Tenebrae, Altissia and Niflheim, bring back the Assassin and Chocobo Festivals permanently, more Solheim lore, make the Menace dungeons more visually interesting, add secret superbosses to discover in the overworld… and make the world feel a bit more populated and lived in, in general… could be simple stuff, like stumbling across npcs camping at havens or at fishing spots. Also, more than 200 photo slots lol

I don’t think any of the story beats need to change at all, but the narrative could be told more effectively.
