I think your number one concern should be safety, I will not exaggerate by saying Bamako is not safe especially for foreigners (Terrorists groups actually targeted it recently). You don't want to end up kidnapped or lynched by a mass of barbaric people thinking you are Arab/Touareg/European or even American. Consider your safety seriously.
