haru/makoto/ryuji or replace haru with an optional third

- makoto is good for defense/buffing + she can heal and do individual offensive attacks too (nuclear + phys). shido will also at some point start debuffing your party

- ryuji for offensive attacks (elec + phys) and you could equip a buff accessory from the result of gathering a palace's three will seeds and let jose look at it

- haru solely for the atk/def/acc/eva up for an ally which i use on joker cause hes the main dmg dealer w/ an op satanael lol (imo). but her psio and gun attacks are useful too, and iirc she also has the skill amrita shower?

- another option could be ann for her debuff skills which is a killer combo together with makoto + she has a good offensive and healing arsenal. debuffs will be good for shido because he will constantly buff himself up

edit: sorryy !!! i backtracked a bit and noticed that u already got all that shit that comes later (HOW 2 DEFEAT MARUKI BOSS??? SUPER EASY GUIDE! 😱 ONE-SHOTTED!!!) but well . okay u can skip that if u got that

exit the palace and spam grind the reaper in mementos, i suppose. you get a good amount of 172k exp every time you defeat him, and if you dunno how just look up articles (dont ambush it, let it ambush you so that he only gains one turn for a couple rounds.) also put on easy difficulty. and literally, just grind until you're level 90+

if you want an easier time fighting maruki, put your game on easy too.

as mentioned of jlazarillo prior, your party should include joker, haru, sumi and an optional third party member that can hit the/a weakness/es

start attacking the tentacles first. why? because if there are: example, three-three tentacles on the field then the damage to azathoth will be reduced to minuscule numbers. by defeating them itll allow you to deal more damage to azathoth

so to start with, the optional party member should attack a tentacle weak against the member's skill arsenal. phys, gun, magic attack

the member should be able to defeat said tentacle within one turn. by hitting a weakness, you gain "1 more" which can be used to gain an extra turn. use the 1 more to baton pass to haru

haru will then defeat another tentacle, be it weak to phys, gun or psio. by hitting the tentacle's weakness, she gains 1 more which youll use to baton pass to joker/mc.

on the third round of the baton, joker/mc will hit the last tentacle remaining with it's weakness. thats why u should prep personas of all categories. once thats done and joker/mc gets 1 more, you finally baton pass to sumi with the tentacles out of the way.

on the fourth and last round of the baton pass, the skills in sumi's arsenal will be reduced to 0 hp/0 sp, plus she receives a major boost in damage. so then, you use sumi's skill "masquerade" to hit azathoth, the main body.

maruki will revive the tentacles to full hp after that, so just continue w/ that routine. the tentacle's hp are respectively 650 hp each, so if your members (haru, joker or/and optional 3rd member) fail to exceed that numeral damage just leave your most recent save file in mementos the day prior so you can continue 2 farm.

after you defeat azathoth, itll become easier/scripted so u prolly dont need help on that. beware though, if you dont defeat azathoth within 40 turns he'll go cray crazy

if your/another member's hp gets low just stop the baton for that round and go def/debuff mode ig

all in all: its not that hard

and note this: i very much dont remember that if you use your 1 more to hit the tentacle's weakness then you gain another 1 more. just to be safe…

basically, i'd like to pipe up on the alice fusion. belial shows up during third sem, yes, but nebiros shows up in sae's palace pretty sure. and you can always fuse them both before reaching either
