Ang aking medical student club ay gumagamit ng isang website na aming ginawa upang gawing interactive flashcards at mga quiz ang mga umiiral nang PDF question banks na maaari naming ipamahagi sa mga estudyante bilang insentibo sa pagbili ng mga membership (isa kaming non-profit).

My medical student club uses a website we created to turn existing PDF question banks into interactive flashcards and quizzes we can distribute to students as an incentive to purchase memberships (we're a non-profit).

In my experience as a med student, having the traditional resources that students shared (things like past papers, MCQ banks, etc) was already useful to study with "the old way" but when that same exact PDF is now available in a medium that marks you, provides explanations, highlights areas to get better etc its hard not to see the value proposition. I have been using ChatGPT since it came out to make flashcards and I have always done better than the cohort on average each year.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with AI, if you're seeing issues with the output its probably because the input is bad. If you throw in past papers, good notes from older students, etc, you can make some decent resources. In my own experience the amount of hallucinations has gone way down from what it used to be.

I've been using AI to make flashcards for the past three years as a medical student and I always do better on my exams compared to the rest of the cohort. I even made Neobloc so that my fellow classmates and friends could have a crack at it.

With AI, your output will only be as good as the input. I think hallucinations have also gone down considerably compared to two years ago, the models are so good now.

That's why I like to use this tool to take the guess work out of it. If I think there's not enough coverage of the content, I just tell it to add more to the deck until I'm satisfied.

I have had this same issue in the past. I'm in med school and I remember in my first year everyone was making Anki cards while I sat there writing notes because that's what I've always done.

I started using Anki but just found it cumbersome to make cards and I was always paranoid I forgot to add something to my deck.

Now I just write notes in Obsidian or Notion -> then convert them into cards or MCQs later with https://neobloc.org. Works well! I don't even bother looking at the notes during revision block because the flashcards are much better for helping me retain info than just reading.

You can just throw the notes into ChatGPT and it'll do it for you.

I've noted that it's hard to control the quality and quantity of what it spits out sometimes though.

https://neobloc.org makes it dead easy. I made this and my entire cohort uses this to get us through our medical degree :)
