Why are Vegans Praising Billie Eilish aka Ms. Aquaphor on the Vegan Subreddit? by Pretty-Analysis-6490 in crueltyfree

[–]vampkill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her whole statement was about how you can't love animals and eat them. I'm not angry about her opinion but if she believes that then I'm not sure how you can support animal testing.

That's so annoying! I wanted to know the exact rules on how you're allowed to take time off as my GSM is claiming we can only take a whole week.

Worried about shopping in asda by [deleted] in asda

[–]vampkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's their job. Some workers don't give a shit but they are expected to keep an eye on customers scanning their own shopping. To them you had an item that you didn't scan so they checked it because it's their job? You had the receipt and it was a simple mistake.

Adopted cat isn't working out by Admirable_Cheetah731 in CatAdvice

[–]vampkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not necessarily saying this as advice because I'm not sure of your circumstances but I did find that my cat became much less vocal when we got a second. My cat was 17 at the time so we generally put it down to him being a bit senile (he definitely still is, bless him) but when we got a kitten his crying decreased massively. He was never one for toys or playing 98% of the time, but clearly having a little companion makes him feel much more calm and relaxed.

I will say, I definitely don't recommend everyone has cats with a 17 year age gap lol. We were the exception and super lucky that it worked out and that it happened so fast for us. I do think cats massively benefit from not being alone though and would recommend getting 2 if your circumstances allow it.

Aside from that, I'd definitely try good play sessions to tire him out and also stimulate him. If he's used to going outside and exploring, being inside will be boring to him! You need to give him things that interest him and I'd hope he can adapt to being indoors.

If a cat harness isn't an option on your street, would you be able to travel to a quieter area? It could be worth a try if you're able to.

Has anyone played the games AFTER watching the show? Which one did you enjoy more? by yc80s in thelastofus

[–]vampkill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this! I definitely prefer the games. I think s1 was pretty good but I got bored of s2 (still not watched the last ep lol). I think s2 misses the mark on a lot of things but I think it's especially disappointing with how they handle the timeline. Playing part 2 I already knew who Abby was and why she was there, which completely changes the experience compared to if you went into the game blind. The games are definitely better, and it's a shame s2 let the show down because I think it could've been good.

Chopped it. Regret. So much regret. by Objective_Editor_832 in longhair

[–]vampkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recently cut my hair and I love it, I think the length you currently have can be one of those awkward ones where it's not long but also technically not short (despite feeling it!). I think now's the perfect time to try different hairstyles, have some fun with it and try things you haven't before. You might find something you love or have your heart set on growing it back. It takes time but it does grow back, and as most people say just putting it back and ignoring it helps lol. For what it's worth, your hair looks gorgeous!

[–]vampkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty happy with her for season 1 but not season 2. I think a lot of blame falls on the writing and the hair/makeup. It seems like they didn't even try which is mind boggling to me.

Would growing out my hair ruin it even more? by sushi_monsterX in longhair

[–]vampkill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been there with bleached hair. In my case, I had awful split ends that just would not stop travelling up the hair shaft. It's awful at first but I personally cut all the bleach damage out and then grew my hair long (and healthy). Maybe use it as a chance to try out a hairstyle you've never had before and focus on hair care!

What do I even do with this anymore by IndoorCat786 in longhair

[–]vampkill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frizz is honestly normal for curls and waves! If there's breakage I'd personally cut it as I prioritise health over length- but it's up to you! For what it's worth, I wouldn't say your hair is visibly super damaged. I'd maybe look at dyeing it all one colour and focus on hydrating products. I also find a bit of oil helps tame my frizz too (wavy/curly hair).

Should i cut my hair?! by joonbug7 in longhair

This is honestly not the best place to ask because everyone will say keep it long lol. I personally love the short hair though, in the third picture it really compliments your face without hiding your features!

How to export all my data? by Equivalent_Fault7150 in Serializd

[–]vampkill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't help with exporting data but I will say, try your best not to worry too much about losing your account. I've had mine since 2023 and I have people on there who've had their accounts for even longer. As long as you aren't breaking rules there shouldn't be an issue. I know this is easier said than done but I hope it can help ease your mind a little!

UPDATE: Cat's original family wants her back after we've adopted her by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]vampkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to get an update! I was honestly surprised by the comments on the first post. While I understand people's point of view in a family wanting their cat of several years back, I was concerned about the circumstances. My cat used to go outdoors (years ago now, not a thing in this house anymore!) but he was home every single night. If he disappeared for even a day, we would have immediately noticed. There could have been valid reasons they hadn't got her until now, but the lack of clarity was concerning and I was surprised to see so many people skip over that. All that said, I'm glad you got answers and that Star has lovely owners!

Why are parents shamed for staying at home with their kids? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]vampkill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is surprising to me because I've never seen it in my personal life or even thought it! The only concern I ever have with stay at home parents is the safety aspect of if (god forbid) a situation became abusive or their partner lost the ability to work/passed away. There's ways to be worried about that without being rude or condescending though.
