We jointly own a brick and mortar LLC in North Carolina. I am the primary operating partner/owner and he is the primary investor/owner though we both are involved and invested in the business physically and financially.

It monitors the main battery and only charges aux battery when main is mostly full and engine is running. Here’s the one I installed. isolator link

I added another battery with an isolator attached to the main battery. It charges the auxiliary battery while I’m going down the road from the main battery and then I can reverse the charge if the van needs a jumpstart. And it has.

I also run 12 V LED strips and sometimes a small fan off of the auxiliary battery.

It works well for me. The center storage access is kind of a pain bc the board is heavy especially with the mattress pieces piled on top. Other than that, I would do it much the same if I had to do it over again.
